Since I came to KL, I have been watching quite a bit of TV shows compared to when I was in KK. I don't know why, but that's how it is. I guess back when I was in KK, the telly was always hogged by someone. Either it was Buddy watching his Playhouse Disney or my brother watching his golf channel or my other brother playing his PS3. Whatever it is, I was seldom in from of the tube.
Ever since
This week we had some more fun in Las Vegas with the three remaining finalist for the Next Food Network Star. Each had to shoot a pre-written 30 second promo. Lisa did a Mission Impossible style...

It is that time of the week again and I couldn't be happier. Sunday night The Next Food Network Star's newest episode. My favorite FN Star Paula Deen was in Vegas for a Throwdown Vegas Style.

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of going to Vegas. What an experience! I had such an amazing time! The things I saw and did. I was there for 8 days and I still never got to see everything!
My biggest highlight was going to see Elton John in concert at Caesar’s Palace. What an amazing show! “Elton John & the Red Piano.” Nobody else in my group was interested in going, so I
Marvel continues to flood the market with Iron Man as we get yet another Iron Man mini-series with Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas. Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, is handling the writing duties on this title as Adi Granov handles the art chores. I am looking forward to Favreau’s story. Favreau gave us a fantastic version of Tony Stark and clearly gets Tony’s character. I’m confident that we
As I mentioned previously on The Doctor Anonymous Show, there will be no show for May 8, 2008 since I will be out of town. Where am I going? Well, I will be in Vegas Baby! (see video post above) In case anyone is interested, here is the current forecast for Vegas (They say it's a dry heat, right?)I'm going out there with people from the hospital for a conference. I haven't even looked at the schedule yet, but I hope that it's not an all day thing. What's the time difference out there, anyway? I guess I'll find out. With me being on call last weekend, I'm still catching up on things and haven't been able to think ahead that much. Our flight leaves this afternoon and we'll be arriving there in the early evening tonight. I hope to be shooting some video out there and posting it here. Wouldn't

Viva Las Vegas!
There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas, especially when it comes to picking a hotel/restaurant/casino. It can be overwhelming. Las Vegas is full of fun and adventures and each hotel has a different theme.
The Venetian plays on the theme of Venice, Italy. There is even a river in the [...]
Ok, I never thought that Carl Edwards would have won the race with all that he and his team went thru today.First he was penalized when one of his tires rolled away from his pit during a stop. Then, Carl avoided another penalty when it happened again. But NASCAR determined the tire broke free because a cameraman was obviously in the way.“When you think you didn’t actually break a rule, you have to keep a level head,” said crew chief Bob Osborne, who immediately climbed off the pit box to make a case against being penalized.“I wanted to go ballistic and yell and scream and kick and punch and do whatever I had to do to get my way. But I kept a level head and NASCAR reviewed it.”I'm not a Tony Stewart fan, but I was a little worried about him when I saw his face when he exited his c
You should click play before you begin reading this.Last week, Planetary made an official trip to the greatest show on earth. Dany, Adam, and I went to The Blogworld And New Media Expo in Las Vegas. We shared a booth with Blogcritics and went to more than our share of panels on everything from how to be a critic, to how to grow capital for your new media business. The weather was great, and we made friends and money. (I made 17 whopping dollars!)I also found Chuck Woolery, Carrot Top, The World's Biggest Gift Shop, and a dirty club to grow old in.

So Nicko the Sicko (the animal control officer) has some time off from work coming up in the near future and we're thinking of going somewhere. Now, she's never actually been on a plane (God bless her poor earth-bound soul) and I'd like to take her somewhere. But the only thing I can think of is Vegas because that's usually where PG and I go when we have the rare chance to escape town (but I'm not bitter).
Now the thought of running wild in Sin City with my BFF is not only pure craziness, but a bit hilarious. I mean, let's take a girl who's never been anywhere to Vegas with a girl like me....sounds like trouble.
There is one tiny hitch in the plan however. It's called the Bellagio Buffet. Yummy, yummy goodness. Pair that with the fact that I'm taking ass-leak pills Alli and that could be a bad thing. But give me adult diapers...I'm NOT missing that buffet.
So we talked about making it a real adventure and driving there.
So, my dear friends, the friendly UPS delivery man brought a long, narrow Adam & Gilliam's box yesterday (return address? Gilliam Boardman. Ha!).
Okay, so he wasn't that friendly. He rang the doorbell and left it at the door, D started barking, the princess yelled loudly, "Who's THERE???" and I immediately started to apologize to my boss, who happened to be on the phone at that exact moment.
The end of this week I'm joining my husband for a trip away. He's got business in Las Vegas and I get a little trip away from home. I'm not excited or anything. I'm not counting the days. I'm counting the hours! If I counted the number of days in the last two years that I was away without any kids, I would only need one hand. Actually, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even utilize my thumb. Since the triplets have been home I have only spent a few nights away with all 4 kids or with 1 child in the hospital (Tyler's hernia and Austin's hospital stay last spring). So if you see me in Vegas, please don't ask me to cut up any food, change a diaper, pour you some milk, wipe your nose, or clean up the table. We have tickets to see Danny Gans, a comedic impressionist (I think) and the rest of the time will be people watching and eating out.My friend Fabthemayor and her family have graciously volunteered to keep the kids. Is she crazy or what? I'll owe them for life. Can you imagine coming
I have not been to Las Vegas but with the stories from my brother who had the chance to have a vacation in LA, I definitely don’t want to miss the opportunity to go there if I...
I'm really sorry for not having any posts over the past few days, BUT I was offered a free last-minute trip to Vegas and I couldn't turn that down. I didn't have to pay one dollar for anything! I just got back to NY this morning. I'm a little jet-lagged, but I'm ready to start posting again. I'll have new posts starting tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with The Black Factor!
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.): “is threatening to take President Bush to court if he issues a signing statement as a way of sidestepping a carefully crafted compromise Iraq war spending bill.” Speaking before a group of Leftist bloggers, the multi-tasking House Speaker said: “We can take the president to court.” They took the majority without actually stating their true intentions, so why not give it a shot? Defending what should be considered the indefensible when it comes to usurping the Chief Executive’s powers, Pelosi’s spokesman, Nadeam Elshami said: ‘“The president has made excessive use of signing statements and Congress is considering ways to respond to this executive-branch overreaching. Whether through the oversight or appropriations process or by enacting new legislation, the Democratic Congress will challenge the president’s non-enforcement of the laws.”’ Democrats in the weekly caucus floated another turd. One of which cam
Every time I hear of Las Vegas, the first things that will come to my mind are casinos, celebrities, shopping and the fun fun times. I remember bro was boasting about his trip...
Wordpress has this really cool feature where you can program it to publish your post at a later date.
So, while you’re all reading this, I’m in Las Vegas at this very moment . . . probably shopping at Fashion Show or Boulevard Mall. I’m on a 3 day trip with a 32 hour layover. Woo Hoo! And the best part is that I’m still getting paid while shopping! Love it!
I was especially excited about this trip because it’s with some of my favorite gay co-workers. We all know that gay guys are the best shopping buddies you could ever have! They take the initiative to rent the car and be the designated driver. They shop with you for hours without complaining and will honestly tell you that the jeans you want to buy makes your butt look fat. Talk about brutal honesty!
Anyway, I hope you all have a great week and I’ll catch up with you when I get back!
*singing* Viva Las Vegas . . . Viva Las Vegas . . .
While I’m gone, don’t forget to visit New York Nitt
This evening I am bound for Las Vegas and California (in sequence no less). It should be a good, long needed, trip full o' heaping piles of no R&R. I have yet to manage a trip where I come back energized and chomping at the bit, but hopefully this one will accomodate. Most likely not but it's always fun to hope. I mean... it is the West Coast after all.I'll be sure to post the furor and hullabaloo, post haste. Stay tuned.Craps Tables, here I come.By the way, with the elections having come and gone... this should make for a captivating 4 years to come. I'm not going there with politics but it's at least worth an acknowledgement.
