That sore throat I saw the doctor about two weeks ago never fully went away and is now coming back with a vengeance. No strep throat. Most likely it is just a pesky cold. Honey and Princess have a cold but I’m the only one feeling like I drank a milkshake from a broken glass, shards and all.
The sun is shining brightly outside but it is a cloudy day for me. My voice is slowly disappearing today and with it so are my thoughts. I can’t focus. Words are escaping me. It is like all the clouds that were up in the sky this morning have taken up residence in my brain.
All I want to do is crawl in bed and stay there. Of course that’s not an option. If I had stayed home for the past 2 weeks I wouldn’t have a job any more. You need to go on an official leave of absence to do that kind of thing. The thought of all that paperwork is more than enough to scare me out of bed in the morning.
