Now they teamed up wit Hermès to create an extreme interior package. They have to offer the best considering Veyron’s price of $1.4m. The Hermès Veyron will probably be released in a limited edition, like the Pur Sang and you’ll have the chance to view it at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, next month. The title has now been taken (subject to official approval by the Guinness Book Of Records) by the SSC (Shelby Supercars) Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo. The car made two runs down a stretch of Nevada highway, with one run in each direction in accordance with Guinness Book of Records rules. The first run clocked 257.11mph, the second 254.55mph. When I stumbled upon this article a earlier this week, I brushed it off and continued about my day. that is until i got into my car, and for a moment I imagined opening one of these vehicles. So by now I’m fairly positive that everyone reading this has a comfortable understanding of the Bugatti Veyron. 1.2 million price tag, 1,000 horsepower blah blah blah. Bugatti Increases Veyron ProductionBugatti is increasing the production of their million dollar super car the Bugatti Veyron. Production numbers will increase from the original "60" cars produced in the first year of the Veyron to a total of "75" annually. The single-piece carbon-fiber monocoque alone scores maximum points in crash tests, while airbags give the driver and passenger additional protection. The high-speed tires designed specially for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (for vmax. > 350 km/h), sizes 265-680 ZR500A (front) and 365-710 R540A (rear), incorporate a further innovative safety feature in the form of the PAX System fitted to the wheels and tires, ensuring safe handling even after sudden pressure loss. Another Bugatti Veyron 16.4 component with a safety element is the rear spoiler. As well as providing the necessary downforce during high-speed travel, it acts as a kind of ‘parachute brake’ during emergency braking. Once precisely-defined deceleration forces are registered the spoiler tilts and the additional air resistance this generates reduces the braking distance to that of a lorry.

At the end of February 2007, Bugatti had delivered its 60th supercar Veyron. Bugatti’s total production of the sexy machine was limited to only 300 units & it has received over 140 orders for the car already. Within a week of receiving the delivery of his car, Kumar’s brother crashed the car into a Vauxhall Astra. John Morrison, who sold the car to Kumar, said: “He is in mourning. Just last week I posted a video of the Bugatti Veyron supercar in action, actually taken to its top speed of 253 mph by the guys from Top Gear. Today I bring you the sad news of the very first known Veyron accident. Considering they cost in excess of $1.5 million, you really don’t want to wreck one, but this guy did. The accident occurred near Surrey in the UK and the driver was reportedly doing approximately 100 mph on a 40 mph stretch of road. The driver of the car was not the owner, but had rented it for nearly $40,000 a day. The owner reported that he had paid $1.8 million for the car, which is more than the list price. It’s not yet known if the car can be repaired, but a Bugatti spokesman said, “If it can be repaired, it will be quickly and efficiently. The owner will be looking at a substantial bill.” No shit!
