Antes de la desafortunada cancelación de la serie Veronica Mars, se habló mucho de una continuación del argumento que situase a la protagonista en el FBI tras su paso por la universidad y la academia. Rob Thomas, creador de la serie, había grabado un pequeño piloto (sólo 6 minutos) de esa idea, en el que vemos a Veronica afrontando su primera misión oficial e interactuando con sus nuevos compañeros. One of my all time favorite TV shows, VERONICA MARS is getting its final season released on DVD. If you only buy one TV on DVD this year, Veronica Mars would be my choice.
After discovering Veronica Mars last summer, I got two friends to watch it who have become as obsessed as I am about the show. Sadly, I didn’t have time to reach the rest of the world in time…

El éxito de la continuación oficial de la 8ª temporada de Buffy en comic por Dark Horse no ha pasado desapercibido, IDW no tardó en seguirla con la 6ª temporada de Angel, y ahora es una de las grandes, DC la que quiere emularlas y en una reunión con Rob Thomas le han dicho que están interesados en continuar Veronica Mars con la 4ª temporada directamente en comic. If the following interview with comics writer Peter David makes sense, it would seem that the TV series Veronica Mars has pulled a major offense against rape victims, but definitely against women, with one of its seasons:

PD: I met Kristen Bell at a Wizard Con. Very sweet girl. I have to admit I haven't been thrilled about the ongoing thread of the first half of the season, because it was twelve episodes filled with rape. Oh. My. God.
RT: And then it turned out half the girls were faking their rape.
PD: It's a relentlessly unpleasant subject to begin with and then it's falsified as well. It's like that old joke about the two old women needing in the lobby of a hotel, and they start discussing the hotel and the food there. The first says the food is just terrible and the other one agrees and adds that the portions are so small.
