2 c. vodka5 vanilla beans, cut into 1 inch pieces Combine vodka and vanilla beans in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Cover the jar and let it stand 6 to 8 weeks. The vodka mixture will turn amber colored after a day or two. After half the vanilla extract is used, add more vodka to cover the beans. INGREDIENTS:serves 4* 4 egg yolks, preferably free range* 4 tablespoons sugar, or icing sugar* 4 dl whipping cream* 1 vanilla bean, or 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar* 1 liter (1000 ml) fresh strawberries* 4 tablespoons orange liqueurMETHOD:1. Cut vanilla bean open and scrape out the seeds.2. Beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla.3. Whip the cream and fold it into the egg mixture.4. Pour your prepared mixture into a wide plastic freezer container.5. Put it, covered, into your freezer for a couple of hours.Optional: You may take the ice cream out of the freezer after 30-40 minutes, break up the ice crystals by beating it and making it smooth again, and repeat this now and then. Mix 200g butter with 125g caster sugar, a pinch of salt and 16g vanilla sugar. Knead 250g plain flour into the butter. Knead until it is mixed well. Make 2 portions of the dough, a small and a big one. Knead 5g cocoa powder into the small dough. Let the dough rest for about an hour in the fridge. Roll both dough into a rectangle. Place the chocolate dough onto the light dough and roll the dough. Now make slices of the dough. Put this on a greased baking sheet and place this in a preheated oven at 170C for about 20 minutes.
