Earlier this week there were a few Google Docs users that noticed added support for PDF files, and today Google has confirmed it. This has been a standing request from Google users for some time, especially as other document-sharing tools like Scribd and Docstoc have ensured that nearly all file types can be uploaded and viewed across computers and browsers. I am not a huge video fan, though watching a video online does have an undeniable coolness factor. I have done some client work involving videos for a site and during the process ran into a few things that might be useful to others trying to handle video. There are quite a few open source and inexpensive tools to help deal with video handling, and combined with some server settings and PHP code it is possible to build some pretty cool video features.

Each day take photos and upload them to Buzznet and Flickr and my best shots go to Zooomr. Typically I download my images from my camera, look through them for the best one of the day, do some editing: color correction, cropping, sharpening and then I upload the image to Buzznet first as my Photo-A-Day widget is through Buzznet. I then upload the image to Flickr because I participate in a Photo-A-Day Challenge. And I often take a bunch of photos that I would like to share with friends.I first heard about the Eye-Fi Wireless SD card through Thomas Hawk's Blog. I get some great info on upcoming photography products through that blog and I am a fan of Thomas Hawk's work. Here is his post about the product announcement. Thomas Hawk's Digital Connection: eyeFi Releases Their 2GB Wi-Fi SD Card for $100I also heard about this again today from PhotoJojo. PhotoJojo is a great one for the everyday digital photographer. According to Ricardo Reyes from Google, Youtube's copyright filter will not block any uploads on Youtube.com. Instead of that videos with copyright will be removed on request of the owner.According to Google this would suffice to stick to Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Google will keep up the database with the hashes of the videos that may not be uploaded on Youtube. The videos containing these hashes will then be automatically removed. Before this people thought videos with copyright will be denied when uploading!Source: InfoWorld
Shareapic is a free service that allows its users to upload and host images on our servers. What makes us different from the rest? Shareapic has a unique revenue sharing model that compensates users for directing their friends and family to see their hosted images. When a member hosts a gallery, they can then show this gallery to others. Each time this is done, the member is paid. How much can I earn?Earnings vary each month based off the amount of income Shareapic generates from advertising. Once this number is finalized a percentage of that is distributed throughout Shareapic members depending on how many image views they have accrued. For example, if in month one Shareapic calculates to distribute $1,000 to our members, we will first tally up the total number of image views for that month. Using these two numbers we can determine the respective payouts for each user. If there were a total of 500,000 image views for the month, image views will equate to $0.002 each (1,000 divided by 50

We worked hard on the business model for file size and came up with what we think is a good approach to meet your needs: as of today all paid users have the ability to upload files up to 1.5GB in size. This includes any paid account; whether you have the $9.95/year plan (a GREAT deal-- bump up to 10GB of storage, NO ADS, and twice the storage for less than $1/month!) or any of our a-la-carte bandwidth and storage upgrades. The other half of this announcement is that we will be lowering the limit for free users to 250MB per file beginning next week.We also wanted to let you know that for those users who have been enjoying the old 20GB/day public file limit we have started lowering your numbers as promised. We wanted to do this gradually to help ease the transition, so this weekend you will drop to 10GB/day; and you can expect to be down to 1GB sometime in the next couple of weeks. If you start ru
