I am not a huge video fan, though watching a video online does have an undeniable coolness factor. I have done some client work involving videos for a site and during the process ran into a few things that might be useful to others trying to handle video. There are quite a few open source and inexpensive tools to help deal with video handling, and combined with some server settings and PHP code it is possible to build some pretty cool video features.

Each day take photos and upload them to Buzznet and Flickr and my best shots go to Zooomr. Typically I download my images from my camera, look through them for the best one of the day, do some editing: color correction, cropping, sharpening and then I upload the image to Buzznet first as my Photo-A-Day widget is through Buzznet. According to Ricardo Reyes from Google, Youtube's copyright filter will not block any uploads on Youtube.com. Instead of that videos with copyright will be removed on request of the owner.According to Google this would suffice to stick to Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Google will keep up the database with the hashes of the videos that may not be uploaded on Youtube.
