Foi confirmado pela produtora Red Mile que o jogo baseado na HQ Sin City, série de histórias em quadrinhos de Frank Miller, será desenvolvido a partir da plataforma Unreal Engine 3, licenciada da Epic Games. A informação é extremamente promissora. A tecnologia, avançadíssima, é a mesma do sucesso Gears of War e de Unreal Tournament III. A aposta na franquia é alta, portanto. Detalhes do game ainda são escassos, mas dá pra arriscar que ele será desenvolvido para as plataformas PC, Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3 - já que essas são as únicas que suportam o Unreal Engine 3. Epic and IGN today announced that Gamespy's online technology will be licensed with Unreal Engine 3. The best part of this deal is that it will enable cross-platform play against PC and PlayStation 3 owners, according to the press release.Gamespy technologies that will be made immediately available to license include matchmaking services, in-game chat services, online data storage (e.g. statistics), leaderboard and tournament services.While it's not guaranteed that every developer who uses Unreal Engine 3 for PC and PS3 titles will utilize Gamespy's tools, we feel confident that this is the final piece of evidence we need to safely say that Unreal Tournament 3 will sport PC and PS3 cross-play. Tragnarion, estudio ubicado en Mallorca, ha anunciado que el videojuego que actualmente desarrollan, The Scourge Project, usa el motor Unreal Engine 3.
The Scourge Project es un FPS multiplataforma para PC y consolas de nueva generación que se centra en el aspecto cooperativo y la narrativa de modo que la historia juega parte importante en el desarrollo del juego. Un total de 4 jugadores pueden jugar cada uno con uno de los miembros del escuadrón, por lo que cada uno de ellos vivirá una experiencia de juego completamente distinta.
La salida de Scourge Project está prevista para 2008. Además de este proyecto, en Tragnarion trabajan igualmente en otro videojuego del que todavía no hay datos, para Nintendo DS.

The PS3 version of Fatal Intertia has been delayed due to "difficulties" with the Unreal Engine's performance on the Sony hardware. The game was originally designed specifically for the system, yet is deemed to be "not running well enough" according to a Koei representative. The Xbox 360 version is to be released ahead of it, as delaying it further while the PS3 version is fixed wasn't deemed necessary.
Coming September and originally set to be one of those crazy PS3 exclusives that keep dropping like flies *cough link cough*. Fatal Inertia is looking to be one bad ass futuristic racing game ala F-Zero. (Note: Yes, this is yet another title using the Unreal Engine!)

Importanti dichiarazioni rilasciate ieri, durante il GDC 2007, da Mark Rein, riguardo la ormai famosa Unreal Engine 3.
Come di consuetudine al GDC, ogni prodotto discusso va accompagnato con degne anteprime, che siano immagini e/o video. In questo caso possiamo vedere (in alto) un demo che anticipa alcune importanti novità che presenterà questa tanto apprezzata Engine. Quello che vedete è un nuovo gioco che comparirà su xbox 360 chiamato Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia. Divertente la grafica, ancora non definita al dettaglio che si presenta in cartoon-style, grazie all’ utilizzo di rendering in Cel-Shading.
Ma andiamo con ordine. Innanzitutto Rein ha confermato che Epic sta lavorando per rendere Unreal Engine 3 utilizzabile sia su Xbox 360 che su PS3, prima come contenuto scaricabile da internet e poi da acquistare a prezzo intero.
Rein ha poi parlato del lato developing, affermando che Unreal Engine 3 non è così costosa come dicono. La licenza base è $500.
