A couple of weeks ago I watched the Part 1 episode of "Family Guy" in which Stewie kills Lois. I watched it at 9:00 p.m. on Fox. Then last night, at 2:30 a.m., I saw the same episode on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. At first I was surprised to notice a few tidbits that I hadn't apparently picked up on the first time around. But after a while, when I kept seeing more and more scenes that seemed "new," I realized they all had something in common. They were a bit more extreme and offensive than the usual gags. Not that they offended me personally, but they could have offended someone else more easily than the other jokes in the show.I finally understood that Fox doesn't show full Family Guy episodes. They edit out some of the dirtier sequences. In order to see the "original" version of an episode, you can just watch it late night on Cartoon Network.

We recall that Manhunt 2 has faced controversies even before it got released. Banned in Australia for gory scenes and raised a couple of politician eyebrows, Rockstar was forced to make a toned down version of the game. But the unedited version wasn’t really scrapped in oblivion like what the authorities expected. The unedited version of the Manhunt 2 Ps2 game has been leaked and distributed to the internet since September. According to Rockstar games, they have identified the suspect and “sacked” him/her.
[Rockstar] accepts the game was leaked onto the web by an employee of a different company who had access to the preview copy. That person has been sacked.
The “Different company” that Rockstar was referring to is Sony, thus freeing Rockstar of any suspicion of trying to get the unedited version across to the public for fame’s sake.

I enjoy "South Park," the show, and so when the movie was on Comedy Central's "Secret Stash" the other night, I tuned in. I realized I had never seen the "South Park" movie before. I'd caught clips here and there, and I remember hearing people quote parts of it and sing some of the songs. I couldn't believe I never saw it before. I've already seen "Team America," so it was neat to see an earlier cinematic work by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.I enjoyed the way they intertwined the potential impact of their film into the movie itself. Had to laugh last night - flipping through the pages of the newer issues of Uncut magazine. I pick this British music magazine up for a couple of reasons - the monthly compact disc supplied is generally good, the profile and interviews are generally informative and there are usually a few good unexpected tidbits. I do NOT read Uncut for the reviews. They are generally ridiculously inflated. The vast majority of artists earn four stars. This is a silly way to sell magazines if you want to maintain your credibility. Case in point: The front of the album touts, "172 Album Reviews." Another problem: they sometimes miss newer albums and only revisit those artists and their new records when the group gets popular and they have egg on their face. So they miss a band like Tapes 'N Tapes and then rate "The Loon" months and months later and give it a big write-up and a great rating.
