I have been test out this install of Linux for the last few days. It is called Ubuntu. So far, i am really impressed with this as i have messed with SUSE linux before, but did not like it. Con ganas de comprarse una laptop, pero quieren evitar, a toda costa, que venga con Vista?
system76.com es una empresa que se encarga de construir y vender Laptops que vienen, por defecto, con Ubuntu instalado.
Aparte de características que podríamos considerar ya “standart” para las laptops (procesadores Core 2, lectores de tarjeta, Wifi, bluetooth, 3 horas de vida de bateria en promedio), se ven bastante bien.
Se nos ofrece también la opción de ir por una tarjeta de video integrada, o bien comprar una que incluya las nVidia GeForce GO.
La más económica, está a $699 (con el procesador Celeron - M), y viene básicamente con más de lo necesario para correr Ubuntu adecuadamente.
Se ofrecen diferentes modelos, desde una ultra-portátil (como la de la foto), hasta una que bien podría reemplazar a nuestra PC de escritorio.

Ormai quasi tutte le distro linux sono pronte per girare sulla PS3. Adesso è il turno di Ubuntu, distribuzione basata sulla Debian che sta riscuotendo un enorme successo per la sua estrema usabilità.
Nonostante sia una delle più giovani tra le distro Linux, è facile trovare documentazione su internet. Sul Forum Ubuntu infatti, ho trovato un utile guida, scritta da Ciego, all’ installazione di Ubuntu (Edgy Eft 6.10) sulla PS3.
La guida è molto dettagliata e soprattuto scritta nel modo più semplice possibile, dunque indicata anche per i neofiti di Linux. Prima di cominciare vi consiglio di procurarvi il minimo occorrente:

The HP PSC 1410v is a printer, copier and scanner. Does it work with Linux? Yes. Alright, how do you install it with Ubuntu Linux? Well, to tell you the truth this is where it differs from Microsoft Windows. The first step was to plug the printer in and then connect with a usb cable to the computer. My second step was to click add a new printer. It never once asked me to insert the manufacturer CD in order to continue the install process. I was robbed I tell you - ROBBED! This install was too darn easy. Not a bit fun.
