Since several days I have been posting about books, news, sights, propaganda, international politics etc.. For a change I thought I'd just post about what is happening in my life now. Even as I drive...

Just a note, I took today and yesterday off for editing. I'm dangerously close to the WOTF deadline, so I needed to get some things spruced up and then figure out what to do with each of them. I also have a third story in the works that I expect will become another issue for me while I figure out what the heck to do with it too.
Also, a note for those that read SoD: I edited in
With the market, selling off into the close there is a high probability for more downside movement today. However, with 67,000 more short sellers on the close yesterday the market is also a prime candidate for a short covering rally. The next major support level is the March 17th low at/near 1253.
My pivot for today is the 1296-1299 area. Above the pivot, my close range targets are 1301.50 and

The past two days have been spent NOT on my computer. It’s been odd and different. It hasn’t been totally free of computer usage. I’ve hopped on here and there, and spent an hour or two last night here…but not in the capacity I usually am by any means. As I said…very odd and different.

Singapore SAF suspends physical training after two deaths in two days
By Valarie Tan,
SINGAPORE: In an unprecedented move, the Defence Ministry declared a three-day halt to all physical and endurance training activities in the army, navy and air force.
The ‘time-out’ from 12-14 June follows the death of two servicemen in training within two days.

Following the victory of his win at Catalunya for Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa along with his team-mate Nicky Hayden, a two day test session started yesterday.
They had planned to test the new engines with Pedrosa starting with the conventional engine then changing to the pneumatic-valve unit, but there were problems and the bike developed [...]
[Images:]When did it suddenly become uncool to like Big Brother? Everywhere we go we hear people slagging it off and moaning that they are dreading it starting. Well save your breath people, we’re bored of your moans and you know that you’ll be glued to your boxes as soon as it starts so in the words of Mr T, quit your jibba jabbing!! In fact we’re so convinced you’ll be tuning in that we
The market has spent two days consolidating at/near the 1370 area, but the question now is have we spent sufficient time forming a base here to attract new buying interest. This is a key level that the market must hold if it is going to move higher. If this level holds look for a test of the 1400 area, however should this base at 1370 fail, it is highly likely the market will selloff to test

Just a quick post today. I’ve spent the last couple of days focusing on if not obsessing over my presentation for tonight’s class on German wines at Tria Fermentation School. For a while I was beginning to wonder if the class would even come to fruition, as at this time last week registration was only at half-mast. It seems German wine is still a hard sell here in the city that loves you back. However, with a little cajoling on my part, and a little help from the friendly folks at Foobooz, Philly’s finest procrastinators came through in the pinch. Class is now sold-out. That makes me smile, as I’m looking forward to sharing some great wines. The focus on Germany won’t end tonight, as I’ll be joined tomorrow by dozens of other people from throughout the wine blogosphere in
As you all know I bought a new bike back in January. Obviously I did not need 2 motorcycles. So I started passively selling my SV650S. My passive selling strategies were pretty much limited to posts on craigslist, conversations with my friends, co-workers (neither of whom owns a bike as of yet). And that was [...]
Not likely… according to me. Obviously I can be totally wrong, but I don’t care. By looking at a couple different time frames of the industrial average ($INDU), I came to some conclusions:

The Siamerican initially told everyone that he was planning to depart for Bangkok early Monday morning, shooting for a the 750 to 800 kilometers (depending on route) to Phetchaburi in one go (leaving only 140-150 kilometer finish to Bangkok for the next day). However, 16 hours straight on a bike wasn’t something to look forward [...]
Manic Monday™ Redux
Monday’s are starting to be a pain, a real pain. We travelled to the east coast of South Carolina over the weekend, from the western part of Mississippi. If I thought my butt looked like the car’s upholstery before, it really does now. Fourteen hours (count ‘em 14) on the road and a [...]

Thursday and Friday are going to be horrible. Long, long days, including an almighty row on Friday evening I expect. Although in the past when I have dreaded the possibility of a nasty meeting it hasn't quite materialised. We might be mopping up blood on Saturday morning still after this one though. But then I'm off to Nottingham on Saturday afternoon. Gypsy Pistoleros are playing at Wildside @ Junktion7, and I could do with a good night out. Long way to go, but never mind. GBF is off to Spain again in the morning so I wouldn't be seeing him at the weekend anyway. I've booked myself a room in a Travelodge since I don't fancy a two hout drive home in the early hours of the morning. One I can cope with, two is a bit much. Never been to Nottingham before. And on Tuesday I'm off to D
"Hey, you. This is my inaugural post to my brand new blog. It would be really nice of you to check back frequently for more updates and general banter. Feel free to then make an educated decision to continue to return here or not. Thanks."With that, my introduction to the Blogosphere began on February 12, 2004. Unemployed, depressed, underweight and longing for a creative outlet, I decided to hop aboard a fad that I thought was already on its way out of popular culture. I had just turned 22 and had graduated from college, was in the midst of planning a wedding, scrapping for cash and quite certain that every decision I made was a huge mistake, along with every other decision I had made since graduating from high school.Hey, what a perfect time to start a humor blog. I know; I'm just as sur
The iPhone has been the rage over the last several days and now come reports that Apple has sold 500,000 iPhones in two days. Can they keep it up? Various reports of activation problems caused some users to be unhappy but Apple says that hiccup is now resolved and the activations are working as normal....
This has been a fascinating sale event over Threadless and a great opportunity to stock up with some cool shirts! But like all good things in this world, it's coming to an end in two days (Dec 16th), so if you haven't purchased anything yet that's your last chance for this year... Update: The sale is now extended until Wednesday Dec 19! Yay!
Blogger has malfunctioned in two major ways on two consecutive days. Just in case you think you're the only one I can confirm you're not!
Today (I'm writing at 7.45am GMT) the side column has completely disappeared and I can't see any of my widgets or links. I can also only see one post at a time.
Yesterday the function which enlarges images when they are clicked malfunctioned so that instead
The two-day internet “camp” had finally ended. Mike paid around two hundred bucks for me to attend it with him.I tried to go home as early as possible on Friday night but could only doze off for three hours. The heavy rain after daylight was a huge turn-off and I got my shoes and socks wet.The seminar was at Riverfront hotel and I was surprised with the overwhelming response from so many people. I estimated there were around three hundreds participants, inclusive of a few young children.People were puzzled over why they wanted to conduct such seminar to teach people how to make money and somehow I got the answer. After all, it was a kind of advertising and promoting of their fame and moreover, they were selling their software, videos and books much more expensive than you could imagine after teaching everyone the usefulness.I skipped volleyball on Saturday evening so as to rest properly since I had to answer to Mike to learn but I couldn’t doze off at all. I was in a pretty bad s
KUALA LUMPUR: Just when the doctors thought Tee Hui Yi’s heart transplant was successful, the danger signs appeared. Her frail body was rejecting the new heart. Pushing aside the fatigue that gnawed at them, the team of doctors at the National Heart Institute (IJN) went into overdrive as they laboured to save Hui Yi.They pumped drugs into the 14-year-old’s body in a bid to coax it to accept the new heart — to no avail. And just when they were giving up hope, good news arrived. Another heart had been found. The heart was rushed from Johor to the IJN where a team of 34 doctors and paramedic staff operated on Hui Yi again and performed a second transplant. This time, they were successful. The team, led by IJN chief cardiothoracic surgeon Datuk Dr Mohd Azhari Yakub, sighed with relief. By yesterday evening, the girl who had been lugging along a 9kg battery pack to power her mechanical heart, was awake. It was nothing short of a miracle. However, IJN’s heart and lung transplant cl
Probably the most unintentionally funny scene I've watched in a while was when Jason was telling Liz all the people who knew about Jake being his kid.Lulu is getting involved with another baddie.. Johnny is texting her. Don't know why she feels the need to act out, I still say she and Maxie aren't that far apart.Anyway.. Spin invited her to stay at the penthouse.. I would say that Jason was not happy about this development. It's getting very clear that he has a soft spot for Spin. This made me LOL:http://serialdrama.typepad.com/serial_drama/2007/09/dear-abby-im-a-.htmlI must say that Spinlu are still very good together. I'm a fan of the slow building and this relationship actually accomplishes that. They both have quite a bit of maturing to do, obviously. As for the other parts of the show? It was good to see Old Skool Jax actually getting one over on Trevor.I have no horse in this race, so I will say that the Liason love scene was very well done and romantic. Then again, I also fel
OK so I subbed for another instructor's class last Thursday and today (today's went sooo much better, by the way...I didn't say "oops" once!), but these have been practice. My very own class is on Thursday night. That's two days away!!I've spend every possible free moment on my first class, making up a playlist, learning new songs and choreography (like the song I just took a break to practice because it just came up in the playlist I'm listening to as I type--I just did the whole thing all the way through without looking for the first time and only messed up once!!), and practicing practicing practicing.I have become a car dancer. Hey, I've gotta squeeze it in where I can!I want to prepare a class that's my own, rather than a carbon copy of anyone else's Zumba class, which is a bit of a danger for me, having attended the same classes for the last year. I want my class to be as nonstop as possible, rather than have lots of breaks in between to explain choreography to the class.
Only two days before Apple’s (AAPL) release of new products to their line-up, investors and consumers are both hoping for multiple updates to the iPod line.
More pictures have now come out, displaying a clearer model of the iPod Nano update and the possibility of an iPod with a touchscreen interface.
While it seems all too soon to see a full-screen regular iPod, due to the fact that it should squash iPhone sales, anything can happen. The shorter, stockier iPod Nano doesn’t look half bad in the pictures, and it seems as though the screen width allows for better media viewing. Also, it appears as though Cover Flow may be adapted in the Nano update.
Check out the pictures below:

Well, folks I’ve done it. I ran this morning for the second day in a row. Wow! Yeah, I know… big deal. It’s encouraging to me though to be getting back into exercise. One thing I noticed this morning was that it was HOT and HUMID. I pass a sign on my run that has the temperature and it was 80 degrees (Fahrenheit) this morning at 6:00AM. The humidity of course is always like one million percent because I live in Florida. It felt like running in a sauna. Oh well, cooler weather will be here sometime in January (sarcasm).
Anyway, here is the Nike+ graph from my run this morning. Click on it to view a larger version. BTW - How do you like the cool Lightbox effect? Compliments of the WP-LyteBox plugin.
I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Where ya been, Les?” Or maybe not. But let’s pretend that is what you’re thinking.
It has been two days since I posted last, shattering another solemn swear to post daily. I should just stop imposing these standards and deadlines upon myself because the rebel in me keeps me from meeting them. She says, “Deadlines, shmeadlines. Let’s go watch Scrubs.”
Then, the perfectionist inside me starts screaming and crying. This annoys the rebel so she shakes the perfectionist and slaps her across the face. The perfectionist pulls the rebel’s hair. The good girl in me tries to break it up…
Anyway, I didn’t post for two days. And to think, since I began blogging - exactly one year ago today - I had never missed a day.
Okay. I’m lying. I’ve missed a day or two here and there, but I truly, deep within my heart of hearts wish I had posted every day because i
Two Days in Paris, a great new comedy about the culture clash when an American discovers the French. The film is a treat because, for once, the joke is on both sides. Julie Delpy, the Parisian actress, wrote, directed and stars in the film. She uses her knowledge from 15 years living in the US to nail the clichés and mock the misunderstandings between French and Americans.Delpy plays Marion, a New-York based French photographer who brings her partner Jack, an interior designer (Adam Goldberg), to visit her Parisian family. The taxi drivers are rude and racist. Jack, who is too frightened of terrorists to take the Metro train, gets to the front of a taxi queue by deliberately misdirecting a group of fat Americans. They are going to the Louvre for "the Da Vinci Code tour" but spend the next 24 hours wandering lost around Paris.Source:HERE

Bungie posted an update on their page including this pic along with this little note:
Well, well well, what’s going on here? We’re saying nothing about what’s going on in the above image other than it is a screenshot taken in-game from Halo 3. You may now commence rabid speculation, inevitably followed by wishing that you were friends with a super genius doctor who was willing to drive you to Sept. 25 in his ’80s sports car. Want a meatier version?
In other news, the two maps that were released in April, Tombstone and Desolation, are going to be FREE “the first week of July” .. which, by my super calculations which I have been working on for months, means Bungie has two more days to bring them to me! (Yeah I still play Halo 2!)

Sooooo looking forward to this film. I love Hal Hartley's style more than any other director out there. Been following him for years. And finally, he is picking up the story of Henry Fool again and continuing the original story as what happens years after Henry first ran, with the focus on Fay's point of view this time. (About time for a good redeeming for her since she was such a terrible human being in the first film). Click here for the trailer.
The last two days I've found myself thinking a lot about my SIL and BIL that moved back to Florida about three weeks ago. We had salmon last night for dinner and I thought about how grilled seafood is just so 'Florida', and this morning in the shower I imagined that when I looked out the small window in the bathroom I could see palm tree's and palmetto's instead of corn and rooftops. I also
It looks like Paris Hilton was so eager to meet her new friends at the Century Regional Detention Facility, that she checked into jail two days earlier than scheduled.Right after attending the 2007 MTV Movie Awards last night (June 3), she and her family returned home, from where she was picked up by her lawyer Richard Hutton and drove to jail together with her mom Kathy and sister Nicky. Here are some candid pictures of Paris as she was leaving the MTV Movie Awards (you can watch the video of Paris leaving her parents' house to go to jail on TMZ): SplashParis released a statement to TMZ, saying:"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes. This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their cont

The cool, breezy winds of Baguio was just what I needed to get away from the piercing heat of the summer sun here in Manila. The drive going there was surprisingly shorter than usual. Or at least it felt like it. Must be because I was in total slumber from the moment I got inside the car up until we reached the mountains of Baguio. Amazing. Total eyes-wide shut some freakin 4 hours after. Upon arrival, the change in weather was totally refreshing. The usual unbearable coldness was nowhere to be felt. It was just perfect.
Gotta love the happy sunflower background. That’s me with my sister and cousin.
Aside from my mom and sisters, my aunt, cousin and my mom’s friend went along for the trip. Almost everywhere in Baguio exudes a unique city-like chillax environment. So I found myself wanting to lie down and sleep for the most part of the day. Sure beats the insomniac, nocturnal days here.
Of course, we went to the usual hotspots, shopped for the usual pasalubong and t
The clock is ticking, but it's not too late to log on to Vanity Fair Napkins' web site and enter to become "Atlanta's Hippest Hostess." It's quick and easy, and yours truly is serving as one of the judges! Their ambassador, Phoebe Fontaine, is there waiting for you and all of your creativity! Don't wait.
... and then I'll be in Shanghai -"Hong Kong on speed," as someone described it...With a building boom that just won't quit...And museums stuffed with glorious artifacts...And so many markets and shops, I'll have to squeeze in ways to see...other important sights of interest...that are heartstoppingly beautiful.I'll realize how little of the world I've seen and how many other glorious places I want to see and experience. One thing I know for sure about this trip: This is no time to save money. But first I have to get there. Two days of travel squeezed like a sardine in coach? Aarggh!
In two days I will have posted 300 posts on Who's Yo Mama, so please be sure to stop by and wish this blog a Happy Birthday by leaving a comment! You can even start now if you'd like, since those who read this blog are situated all over the world, and you may be one day ahead of me. Don't be shy!In honor of this momentous occasion, I have spent most of my day creating my First Ever Slide Roll titled "Maui's Beaches and Ocean". I'm not 100% satisfied with my first creation as some of the photographs repeat which I didn't want and couldn't seem to fix, but hey, its a beginning! There is even an underwater photo of me swimming in the beautiful cobalt blue Maui ocean.Click here to see this brief film. One small warning...it has soft music! So for those that don't like music, turn off your speakers!
If anyone figures that out, please let me know.

This really shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone but it looks like Clinton’s former treasury secretary is already calling for a tax hike. Despite the fact that the numbers don’t add up and the Clinton administration’s policies set us up for a recession, Mr. Rubin wants to jack up the taxes for false goals.
As the article I linked points out, that plan is in direct contrast to the moderate and conservative campaigns which Democrats used this year to get elected. Hopefully thier party’s leadership isn’t so out of touch that they would start proposing tax hikes immediately, but who knows at this point…
