Talking Twittering Teddy Bear is Nearly A Freaky Mod Too Far [Cyborg Toys]
Having a cyborg teddy reading out your Twitter alerts... *shiver* the idea gives me the creeps a little. But not the guys who came up with the idea over at HyHome2.0. They've even got an instructional video so you can build your own artificial-voice bear, which uses Bluetooth to get data from your PC so you can plop the toy anywhere and still keep in touch. I'm not going to be building one: I've g

This is why I shouldn’t be Twittering
I finally decide to go and re-activate my dormant Twitter account (Thanks Amy for the nudge! I know I said I was anti-Twitter, but I did sign up awhile ago), sign in, and see that I somehow have 23 friend requests that probably have been sitting there for internet eternity.  Sorry guys (and gals). Recently, I found myself in need of a graphics designer so I asked a colleague of mine if they knew any.  Having never used Twitter myself, it didn’t even cross my mind as a possible avenue to locate the desired talent I found myself currently seeking.  But I learned something today and that was - Twitter really can work [...]

      Twittering Your Way To Freedom
The importance of using a good social media to communicate between friends from one end to the others does not seem significant, especially when nothing crops up or incident turning into a disaster that needs immediate help from your friends. In this case, Darren Fletcher, a University of California, Berkeley, journalism graduate student who loves to venture into events about mystery and family members who had been detained overseas in a protest had gone missing after weeks. As part of his degree project, he was exploring in Shenzhen, city in China on the suspected missing people who have yet to be found after few weeks. Darren was on the street doing his interviews when two policemen approached him and seized his recorder and arrested him without any good reason.Darren quickly sent out a o

Twittering Dad vs. Texting Daughter: Episode 2
I have a 13-year-old daughter. She talks to her friends all day long. They have in-depth conversations with each other about boys and the current dramasodes happening at school. Apparently, there is so much to talk about that it requires ongoing dialogue via Instant Messenger and text messaging throughout the day and evening. As adept as my daughter is at conversation, you would think that she and I talk at length about how things are going for her each day. Well, let me tell you, such is not the case. Talking to my daughter on the phone is like having a dialogue with someone on Twitter.*Note: For anyone who isn't aware, Twitter has a 140 character limit to each message posted/tweeted. Also, this article is a continuation of a previous post Twittering Dad vs. Texting Daughter. It wil

      Stop Twittering (Or Never Start)
The Low-Tech Times recommends for people to stop twittering and to stop reading other people’s postings (aka tweets).  If you’ve never heard of Twitter, then my advice is to not bother signing up. Twitter is a service allowing hyper-connectivity between people.  Twittering is the process of using the service to post about what you are doing by way of cell [...]

      Twittering Dad vs Texting Daughter
First, if you're not following me on Twitter, click here right now!My 13-year-old daughter loves to text message. In fact, she texts faster than I type, and I can type really fast. Over the past week, I've been using Twitter to connect with my e-friends. I installed Twhirl desktop Twitter client, which has made it significantly easier for me to engage and participate. As I was driving home from a meeting tonight, it dawned on me that Twitter is to me what text messaging is to my daughter. What do I mean by that? We get similar benefits, only they are derived from different technologies. So, what are the reasons we share in common for using these technologies?Socialization. The primary reason my daughter text messages her friends about every detail of their lives is to socialize. Ever

What’s the right frame of mind for twittering?
Twitter twitter twitter… Some folks hate it; some are addicted to it. Some wonder how much sense it makes to even use it. Hopefully, this article can help to put the website in proper perspective for Internet marketers. For its 140-character limit per post, twittering is also called micro-blogging. Apart from this limit and the inability to [...]

      Blogging the Twittering Way
I have a twitter account and I really never used it. I only joined because the ‘crowd’ is doing it. I have blogged about micro blogging in the past. I have talked about Pownce and Twitter in the past and how it is a way to speak in a small and quick way. I really never went into detail about it because I rarely used it. Recently I have used it and I found it to be a very powerful way to network. At affiliate Summit West I was able to keep on top of shows, people, groups and people even going to lunch. I was able to even network faster and keep in contact faster than a simple text (SMS). I have decided to use it after Mark from 45n5 spoke about it on his blog. It was a good way for me to follow my favorite bloggers and entrepreneurs. I also noticed every 15 minutes a group twit

      Twittering problem
So I mentioned that I created a Twitter account for myself and I downloaded Twitterfox which allows me to write and receive “twitterings” right from my Firefox browser. But I have a dilemma…I think Twitterfox has slowed down my laptop. I’ve cleared the cookies and run a scan to get rid of spyware or any little nasties but it’s still running slow. I wonder what Neil Crespi on Rate It All would do in a situation like this. I might try uninstalling it and see if that fixes the problem. But then I’ll need to find another way of “following” my Twitter friends. It’s all Tina Silva’s fault! I signed up for a Twitter account a couple of days ago and did a couple of updates but didn’t think too much about it. I was catching up on my blog reading and saw that Tina had downloaded Twitterfox to use Twitter right from your Firefox browser. Maybe I Should Stop Twittering
Sometimes, Twitter throws unexpected tweets that seemed connected but they aren’t. Such as Twitter Tips that give you tips after your friends’ tweets. Today, I saw something ironic. yunnie: exhausted from crying… *sigh* even though i tried not to expect anything, i still end up feeling disappointed. iheartquotes: Laugh, and the world ignores you. Crying doesn’t help either. MissLoi: Two … more … days … ! I wonder if I should stop twittering. © WishBoNe for My Life With IT, 2007. | Permalink | No comment This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Twittering Twit
NOTE: In an effort to stay awake while driving home from the meeting last night, I decided to babble on and on about the joys of Twitter. I feel that I got on quite a pretty nice groove before Josh interrupted me to ask for milk, thus breaking my tenuous cell phone connection.Such is life, I guess. Oh, and I can be found at Twitter here. Feel free to add me.In which our heavily caffeinated host waxes and wanes over the wonderful world of Twitter.

sms competition, originally uploaded by GuyBrighton. No, I haven't been blogging as prodigiously I used to. I've been playing with Twitter, in spite of the gloomy Gus bloggers who decry it as a fad. If Twitter is just a fad, then it's a fun fad, and I will enjoy it right up until the moment when they shutter their doors. I had a couple of posts in me and a new tale to post in Ficlets, but right now, I just don't care. I have reached my limit for the day.So instead, I present you with two men who are leagues funnier than I could ever hope to be. Enjoy. I'm going outside to play.ColbertStewarttechnorati tags: Twitter, blogging, video, meh

The process was painless and easy, although I did encounter the Technorati monster (rears his ugly head when they have problems) once again. The Knights who say “Ni” (wikipedia link) scared it away, so it wasn’t a problem. Is it just me or are we seeing the Technorati Monster more and more lately?
