Productivity blogger Andre Kibbe knows that he gets distracted early and often by hang-ups, inconveniences, and a school of distractions just waiting to take him away from his tasks. He recommends a form of bad day auditing—looking at every step that happened before you got off-track, and fixing it for tomorrow. Waiting for his laptop [...]

A little while ago, you may recall I was singing the praises of blue eyeliner . Well, turns out I'm crushing on another of your favorite fear-instilling makeup trends of the 80s: blue mascara. But fear not, friends, blue mascara may look scary in the tube, but when applied only to the top lashes and with a light hand, it actually looks surprisingly subtle. Plus, blue has the added benefit of making your eyes look whiter and brighter - a big bonus for the sleep-deprived gals among us. Try it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean - you almost can't tell you're wearing it unless you look really closely, but it somehow fools the eye, creating an optical illusion of "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed." My current pick of the moment is Benefit BAD gal Blue Mascara , a deep royal blue shade with
posted from iPhoneSlide.com So I meet this guy at our meet and greet after the show, and he looked real familiar. "You look real familiar," I tell him. "No, it more than that," I say. "Are you from Nashville?" "No,...
A small guy goes into an elevator, when he gets in he notices a huge dude standing next to him. The big dude looks down upon the small guy and says: "7 foot tall, 350 pounds, 20 inch dick, 3 pound left ball, 3 pound right ball. Turner Brown" The small white guy faints! The big dude picks up the small guy, brings him to, slapping his face and shaking him, and asks the small guy, "What's wrong?" The small white guy says, "Excuse me but what did you say?" The big dude looks down and says "7 foot tall, 350 pounds, 20 inch dick, 3 pound left ball, 3 pound right ball. And my name is Turner Brown."The small guy says, "Thank God, I thought you said 'Turn around.'"
U.S. Home Resales Fall to 9yr Low by Bloomberg - snips:Sales of existing homes in the U.S. fell in January to the lowest level since records began nine years ago and prices slid for the sixth time in seven months, posing a threat to consumer spending, the largest part of the economy. Resales declined 0.4 percent, less than forecast, to an annual rate of 4.89 million from a revised 4.91 million in December that was higher than previously reported, the National Association of Realtors said today in Washington. The figures indicate declines in home prices so far aren't sufficient to entice more buyers. Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said today that the deepening rout in housing is having a "broader effect" on spending, and that a recession this year may be deeper than previous
When it comes to photography, I have always found turning around to be good advice. It sounds quite trite, but, nonetheless, it is often helpful. When concentrating on trying to photograph one particular scene, we often have blinders on and don't keep our minds open to other possibilities. It can be hard, and perhaps even detrimental, to try and break one's focus in the middle of photographing and, therefore, I do like to finish what I am concentrating on before moving. Once finished, my mind can then be receptive to new possibilities....and so I force myself to turn around and look behind me at what else there is that I might have missed or overlooked. It sounds quite simple, after all, once you are done photographing at a particular site you pack up and can't help but see what's around you before leaving. Sure, but are you receptive to what is around you, or is your mind already in the 'I'm done and leaving' mode? It is one thing to look at what is around you when packing up and

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Nice and quiet Saturday around here. As most know by now from previous posts I'm an Enigma fanatic, so this weekend here is Enigma - Turn around, hope ya enjoy.
Ok, yeah my blog has been really depressing lately. I need to change that. As of now I am going to try to make it more cheerful and positive! Still, there will be the odd venting on here (it's still *my* blog). I do feel I have to appeal to more transguys out there and try to pull them into my site and make a community.Any help from my readers would be good. So, any transguys you know...please tell them about my blog! This way we can create a positive environment for us!
Before getting to today's blog entry, I have a request to make. I have been working, though it is now truly a "labor of love', to make daily posts and to keep this blog fresh, interesting, and, hopefully, enjoyable to read. Needless to say, I am trying to develop a readership. If you find my blog enjoyable, useful (or any other positive adjective), I would certainly appreciate it if you would pass the URL on to a friend that has an interest in photography and who you feel might also like it. Also, please feel free to comment, as it is always nice to know that there really are people out there. Thanks,.......now on to today's thought. There are two sayings whose points ended up combined together to lead me to make a few images that I find interesting. These sayings are, and I paraphrase, "If you take an interesting shot, turn around, because the one behind you might be even better" and "Shoot where you are and what you know".I have found the quote about turning around to
This Saturday, J. and I took advantage of a break in the rain to head out to Grant's Woods, a 52-acre section of forest protected by the Couchiching Conservancy, a land-trust organization that oversees the maintenance of several important acreages in and around Lakes Couchiching and Simcoe.
