I figure it's not a really old rerun because the ending emphasized how John McCain is supposed to be a puppet to George Bush. I've heard that point made before. That seems to be the main reason to dismiss McCain. But I'm not sure if I believe it. When I heard him speak, I got the distinct impression that he was not like Bush. Plus, he used to be a Democrat!Anyway, I thought, "Gee, 'Little Bush' used to be a bit more appealing when it was uniting the anti-Bush citizens. But now it's trying to use that sentiment to dismiss a candidate who hasn't even done anything yet." It's not like McCain has lied to us and then taken us to war. "But he will!" someone says. Yeah, right. Maybe we do n

      Tech Troubles
I've been posting mainly political stuff lately, so I thought I'd give it a rest today and discuss my other main interest-computers and technology. And much like politics, it can be both an exhilarating and frustrating experience. Lately, mostly frustrating. About 3 weeks ago, I took my beloved laptop computer in to be repaired, as it had lapsed into a coma back at the end of August. I waited until now to take it in because I just didn't have the money to pay for any repairs that might be required. This week I got the bad news that my poor laptop was truly dead. It seems that the internal fan had quit working and the insides got "fried", as the repairman called it. The entire motherboard would have to be replaced, which would cost more than a new computer. (A moment of silence,

      Your Dog Home Alone Troubles
by Mark HaakonsenLeaving Your Dog Home AloneDo you have problems leaving your dog home alone? Do you come home, only to find that your dog has been up to mischief or tried to escape from the yard? This is not an uncommon problem at all, and we'll explain why your dog behaves badly when alone and what you can do about it.Dogs experience many of the same emotions as humans such as anxiety, boredom and depression. If one of these emotions is triggered, it will also affect their behavior or lack thereof. Since dogs are pack animals, they are very sociable and simply do not like to be left alone. When a dog is left alone it can experience a feeling of neglect, depression, boredom and anxiety. Neglect can lead a dog to cry and howl for an extended period of time. This will happen as you leave an

      Destroyer - Troubles in dreams
Best of 2007? Pah!

A KOSmonoff Has Troubles With Facts
~Snooper~What is it with the vast majority of KOSmonoffs these days? Can they not feel the wind directions change? Can they not tell that they are irrelevant and insignificant? Whereas it might be true, I have no way of knowing, that the KOSmonoff site gets 487,391 hits a day, that is pretty much irrelevant. Many of "us" go there to see how loony they are and get quite a grand guffaw now and then. We DO link back and many of our readers know to fact check BEFORE they write elsewhere...something of an alien concept to a KOSmonoff or any other moonbat. They really are lost, don't you know...This particular KOSmonoff has the consistent wrongness and blind ignorance of facts, no matter which OR whose book It reads. I suspect that at one time, this poor child once lauded Murtha as a hero of the moonbats seeing that he also said that the surge was not working. Now that Murtha has stated otherwise, I guess the poor child's zero is Reid again. You know, the fool that says the Surge

iPhone's European TroublesAs I mentioned in the previous post, iPhone 1.1.2 iHacked, (Apple just Unlock the bloody Phone, you have to in France anyway!)Looks like Apple is having trouble over in Europe. Unlike the system that is here setup mostly to save corporations, in Europe it is a little better, it is mostly people that matter. So the practices that are alright in the USA may not hold ground in European countries. So did Apple do it's due leg work before going to Europe with iPhone?Looks like it is unlike they did. On Wednesday, T-Mobile, Germany's exclusive iPhone dealer, announced that it would offer the device without a contract to comply with an injunction issued by a Hamburg court last week. A result of a lawsuit by mobile-phone giant Vodaphone. Similarly, in France, where the iPhone goes on sale next week, Apple has been barred from requiring customers to sign up with the service provider Orange. There might be more places that locked iPhones are not welcome. The Orange a

      The troubles in Canada
Many things about our world bother me. High up on my list is discrimation and racism. Almost everyday, I hear stories of Filipinos being discriminated on just because of our race. Many efforts have been done to resolve this worrisome situation, but a lot more effort is needed to make it go away.I've heard stories about Canada being a land of promises. Some of my relatives have lived there for a long time and some of them have become successful. Yet, the truth about its broken immigration policies and its highly discriminative work environment is truly troublesome. Take this Web site (www.notcanada.com), for example, and see a part of this country's almost hidden identity.Canada's Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Joe Volpe acknowledges the issue. Read his comments here on W-Five's story.Even Filipino nurses who have years of experience are forced to work in the lowest positions when they go to Canada. Franchitti’s tin-top troubles
Dario Franchitti is finding the stripped-down driving of NASCAR a rude awakening compared with life in the telemetry-rich IndyCar series where he was champion last season. “It’s a challenge,” he said. “That’s what I wanted, and I’ve definitely got that.” The Scot has signed with Chip Ganassi and Felix Sabates to race full-time in the tin-top series next year and has been familiarising himself with NASCAR ever since - including both types of car, the existing Busch Series vehicle and the controversial and unco-operative “Car of Tomorrow” (COT). Franchitti, who has been replaced at IndyCar’s Andretti Green Racing team by Hideki Mutoh, has been finding it all a bit of a challenge since his first race in a stock car on 5th October. This week he got his first taste of the COT at Atlanta Motor Speedway, before switching back to a Busch Series car for a test at Kentucky Speedway and a race in Texas on Saturday. “Driving the Bus

      Andy Speaks On Family Troubles
I really hate how the media is pounding this story so hard. I turn on WIP, and get disgusted by morons who question Andy Reid's parenting ability. Where do people get off criticizing a man's family? If you want to question his coaching ability, or personal decisions, that's fine, but leave his family alone. There is no reason to comment on it.Everybody goes through issues in life, and has their share of difficult times. The difference is when average fan has problems, they are not broad casted on national television, printed in local newspapers, and debated on talk radio.I feel terrible for Andy, and really wish the media would back off. Everybody should respect his privacy, and stop making this issue worse. The majority of the media is nothing but a bunch of story hungry creeps, who make a living of others misery. Ratings are all that is important to media scum, and it makes me sick. This is my message to everybody. Fans, and media included.Leave Andy's Family ALONE! Either show you

Like Vista is long awaited, like Vista the launch was delayed, and like Vista, I got the impression that Apple rushed a bit to get it out of the door because the Mac fanboys were getting restless. Leopard debuted to some really glowing reviews written by some of Apple’s biggest and most widely read fanboys, but now that the OS is in the hands the people that really matter, the feedback is far from glowing.” (from Adrian Kingsley-Hughes) And for the first part of the Rob Mead article: &ld

Chiru's party plans off due to family troubles?
The megastar, Chiranjeevi, is unlikely to plunge into politics in the next 18 months i.e till the next Assembly elections following some bad developments in the family. The public image of the film star has taken a beating because of the marriage of his second daughter with a local youth, who is already involved in some criminal cases.First, the film actor had trouble with his elder daughter. Even before the dust could settle down, there was the Pavan Kalyan episode which caused much embarassment to the film actor. And now the trouble with his second daughter.Since the image of the actor had taken a beating, it is unlikely that he will set up any political party or jump into politics. This simply means there will be no entry of the actor at least till the 2014 Assembly elections.courtesy-greatandhra

      Camera troubles…
We have had our Canon G6 for 3 years now… everything was going fine until I put my card in the card reader yesterday… put it back in the camera and found that the card reader had messed up the card and then messed up the camera. So now… all I get when I put a card into the camera is “Memory Card Error”… (*eta: I have three cards that I have tested it with that work in our old camera) I called quite a few places and no one wants to give estimates over the phone… and if I bring the camera in it cost anywhere from 30-45$ for an estimate… Our other option is to send the camera to Canon, have them look it over and then call us with the estimate. There is no change but there is a longer wait time.. I have been drooling over a dSLR or a long time so I started looking into that option… Getting a dSLR and having my G6 would mean that I could have a camera for quality pics and another for portability and video option… Now that I

Payday Cash Advance Loan Tips to Avoid Financial Troubles
Payday cash advance loans can provide you with a quick cash advance if you need money in a hurry and have exhausted all of your financial resources, but it is important to understand the details of your cash advance loan in order to avoid the typical payday loan pitfalls. Payday loan advances are generally more expensive than standard loans as the interest charges can range from $10 to $30 per every $100 borrowed. However, these interest charges can cost you less than the financial consequences you may suffer if you don’t pay your credit card bills, utilities, rent, etc. on time, as well as all of the other problems that can result, such as losing your car or getting evicted from your home. If you need money in a hurry and don’t have any other options, a payday cash advance loan may be your best alternative. Just make sure you understand the terms and conditions of your payday cash advance loan and follow them carefully to avoid any penalty fees or defaulting on your payday

Quick Note: More Troubles In Camp Giuliani
I've not much time to make any kind of extended thought on things, due to a very pressing personal schedule these past several days. But I'd be remiss to not note that there are hints of fundraising problems in Camp Giuliani -- Hizzonner just fired his chief fundraiser, only days before the quarterly FEC disclosures are due. Hizzonner's campaign has been a bunch of ups and downs recently -- the cell phone incident, the attack on MoveOn.org, the world leaders tour, and now this. Not all of the developments have been good, but his campaign does stand out in stark contrast to the apparent stasis going on elsewhere.

      car troubles?
some times you can't win for trying. What was meant to be a full-day excursion quickly turned into a comical display of what can go wrong next. Our drivers' short-cut turned into a four hour harikari drive at 100km/h with no seatbelts along the back roads of India's interior (all this despite the fact that we were only 100km away from our intended destination). For our troubles, we were rewarded with this road-side pit-stop for directions and the mandatory cool down period. And who said they don't make 'em like they used to.

Troubles for Tuna 2- A Reprieve?
Declining bluefin tuna stocks have been in the news with growing frequency, and have also been the subject of a number of my blog entries over the past year (see Troubles for Tuna). When any species faces potential extinction it becomes a grave issue, but the popularity of this fish makes any news pertinent to sushi lovers around the world. Today there is an update on the situation. The news is good and bad. The European Union today banned bluefin tuna fishing in the Mediterranean and eastern Atlantic ocean for the remainder of the year. EU fisherman have already caught the 2007 quota (16,779 tonnes) and the world will now have to rely on the remaining stock of frozen and stored bluefin tuna to satisfy our sushi and sashimi requirements. “Clearly there are problems both of overfishing a stock already threatened with collapse and of equity between the member states concerned,” EU Fisheries Commissioner Joe Borg was quoted as saying. While this is not gong to be the magic bul

      Troubles (Please Bear with Me)!
Well, it’s been a busy few days (longer than that, to be honest). Over a week ago Firefox deleted all of my bookmarks, which contained a lot of important saved information, sites, tools, articles, and more. I discovered that not soon enough, and it was too late to recover all of my bookmarks. Firefox does five backups a day, and they’re quickly replaced by new backups. I didn’t realize soon enough to recover one of the five, so I lost it all. That was the first downfall. The following day, my laptop broke. Again. There’s something wrong with it, and I can assure you it’s not my fault. Heh. When it’s plugged in the light is supposed to come on, the screen is supposed to be brighter, and it’s supposed to charge. Most of you should know how a laptop is supposed to act when it’s plugged into an outlet. Anyway, it acts like it’s NOT plugged in. It won’t charge and lives off its battery life. And since it won’t charge, when it
