Thought I'd share today about my secret for getting littles to cooperate and to eliminating annoying behaviors. I buy case lots of trinkets on Ebay to keep replenishing my treasure chest with new things. Tommy usually is very resistant to end his day and get ready for bed so instead he stomps his feet , growls and says no. It can take up to an hour to get him to follow through but if I take my treasure chest out and place it on the counter at night to give out rewards he will be bathe and dressed in record time. Catherine is just the opposite. She has a hard time getting it together in the mornings so she earns her reward in the morning by promptly dressing and finishing her breakfast. Timmy earns a reward at bedtime if he hasn't done any instigating during the day. They all have some behavior their working on eliminating so for us this system works out real well. Just another one of my "preventative parenting" ideas.
