Should IU block Jordan Crawford from transferring to Kentucky?
The latest departure in the mass exodus from the Indiana program, Jordan Crawford, is reportedly hopeful that he’ll garner interest from a program in Lexington, Kentucky. This according to Jerry Tipton of The Lexington Herald Leader, who got the following update from Jordan’s mom, Sylvia: “I would hope they would be interested,” she said. But, first, the [...]

Problem transferring a mysql database with rsync
A little more then a year ago I wrote a post presenting three different methods to transfer a mysql database. Betta Fish Care: Transferring To a New Bowl
Many people say that when the transfer the betta fish to a new bowl or adding new water to the old bowl or tank itself, you should not use complete new water but slowly add new water to the bowl little by little. I do not believe in this. The point is you just need to maintain the pH and temperature of the new water. The pH should be slightly acidic and the water temperature around 80 degrees F. The main reason we change in water of the betta fish bowel is the water will be contaminated with the feces. Before transferring the betta fish to the new water. You just check the pH and temperature of the new bowl know that the temperature and pH and of optimum range and transfer the betta fish to the new bowl or tank. If you want to transfer the betta fish back to the its original bowl, jus

      More Balance Transferring
I mentioned that Citi increased my credit limit... well I took advantage of that by transferring a large portion of my Capital One balance over there. My Capital One card had three different interest rates - 14.4%(standard), 2.99%(fixed), and 0% (for 3 months). Of course, every payment I made went to the lowest rate balance first. I decided to transfer about $2k to Citi with no fee at 6.9% APR for six months. Then I sent all of my income tax funds to Capital One leaving me with a balance of $168. I should be able to pay that off with money from my next check :) This move reduces my monthly finance charge by about $20 and leaves me with just two credit cards! Down from ten... um yeah. Wow, that feels good.Prosper loan continues to be my highest APR at 14.4%, however I think I'd like

From the Quick Hits Dept.: Transferring Feeds Between Accounts
Alright, so we're a little behind on announcing this feature as well. It's been live for weeks and is a real time-saver for everyone involved: the new, self-service Feed Transfer capability. As more and more people build blogs and burn feeds, changes in content ownership and control lead to the desire to move a FeedBurner feed from one account to another. In ye goode olde days, someone who wanted to transfer a feed to another account used to a submit a request to us, and then a staffer in our own Central Planning and Command-Line Voodoo department would verify the accounts and then complete the actual feed transfer. Reliable, but time-consuming and tedious for all parties involved. Away with workaday drudgery! If you own a feed, you may now transfer it to anyone you like simply by using t

Do you know what your pen drive can do other than transferring data?
      1. Mini Operating systems Yeah!! You can carry a portable operating system on your pen drive which will help you log into any PC with your own password and fix the crashes. There is a long list of available options though it will invariably be a flavor of Linux. To make your job easier I would recommend a visit to pendrivelinux.com and here. 2. Virtual Machine You can turn your pen drive into a virtual PC by installing portable virtualization softwares like Mojopac. It will help you carry your files and softwares with ease. 3. Security on the move There are a host of security related applications that can fit in your pen drive and thus travel with you. Thus your data will always be secured whether or not the host PC has an anti-virus or spam guard. Avast Virus Cleaner, ClamWin, and McAfee

      Transferring domains out of 1and1.co.uk
1and1 have something of a reputation of making it difficult to transfer domains away from them and rightly so as no matter how much you look around their website, you’ll not find how to do it. It’s actually fairly easy once you find the site that you need to do it from. login to your 1and1 account and unlock the domains that you want to transfer (you’ll find the unlock option on clicking the info tab on your domain management screen); it’s a good idea to change the name servers at this point to point to those of your new hosting service and, of course, to upload your site to it’s new location if you’ve not done that already; if you’re using whois privacy you’ll need to disable that before proceeding;  register the domain with your new registrar and acknowlodge the request when you receive the e-mail (this is sent to the e-mail address recorded for your domain so check that it’s correct by looking up the domain on whois); go to th

Im Transferring To A New Apartment! Yey!
Well, not exactly. This happened when I used to live in the United States and life was much much easier then. I lived in a fully furnished apartment that was luckily paid for by my aunt. (I love you aunt reese!)You must be wondering why I am suddenly writing about apartments instead of money making ideas, im sorry guys but my cousin, andrew, is asking for my help because he has to transfer to another apartment because of work and all those stuff. When I was still in United States, I searched for apartments for rent online. This was just as easy as one, two and three. One, you find where you want to transfer, i mean which specific state, two, find the city that you are transferring to and there you have it, the third and possibly the most difficult is choosing which apartment best suites your taste and preference. Well, for that, I leave it all to you andrew. Wish you well! And for the readers that benefited from this post in one way of another, dont forget to say thanks by coming back

Free SMS: Simple Guide To Mobile Phone File Transferring
Free SMS: Simple Guide To Mobile Phone File TransferringIntroductionWith the extensive development of the mobile phone industry, our mobile phones are becoming more powerful than before. Today, mobile phones can process pictures, sound, and even video. We can get pictures from a phone's camera, or download them from a PC or from a web site. I have two phones, a Siemens CXV65 and a Nokia 6021. It is boring that I must install two separate software when I want to transfer a picture to them. And this really takes a lot of my disk space and slows down my machine.Though we can buy commercial software to do this, I was wondering if it was possible to develop a software by myself? That was a surprising idea, and I did finish it. Now I will tell you how I did it, in a top-down perspective. In this article, you will learn what is OBEX, FBUS, and a plug-in scheme. I hope the code or data examples and the comments in the source code will give you a clear picture. Hope you like this article!Back

      Transferring Our Ebay Store
For those of you who browse through our Ebay Store, you may have noticed that there’s been an inventory decrease. I’m working towards moving the store off of Ebay as the fees are getting a little out of control. By moving off of Ebay, I’ll be losing exposure but that is something that I have to deal with. It’s not a huge concern. I’d like to have the new store up and running in 3 weeks or less. I’ll be fixing the pictures as some are stamped with our old Ebay username. I’d like the store to have a Secure Sockets Layer and be Hacker Safe certified to maximize the integrity of the store as well as protect customers. Be watching out for the grand opening!

      Transferring to WordPress
I have been thinking for sometime whether I should swap to WordPress and blog on their from now on and have not yet come to a decision but I did manage to import all of my current blog posts and comments from Blogger over to my WordPress account, which is currently set to mirror my Blogger account. I am not sure which one I am going to use as my main blog, but for now I will stay on Blogger as I cannot edit the CSS/HTML of my WordPress blog unless I pay for it, so I cannot add a custom template like I have on Blogger. I will have to review both and see what one I think would be best for me.
