VH1 aired its annual salute to those icons of the hip hop world earlier this week in New York City! Timbaland, Common, T.I., Ne Yo, Ciara, Tweet and others from the past, present and future of the genre celebrated each other and the official 2007 honorees: A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliott, Fab 5 Freddy and Charlie Ahern for the film Wild Style, WHODINI, as well as Teddy Riley and Andre Harrell of New Jack Swing. I think I know three of the aforementioned acts....sad!
All the honorees (save Missy Elliott, I don't know why) got on stage with their contemporaries and mixed it up good. For all their hard work, VH1 of course thanked them with da da da....A GIFT BAG!

Crazy ass Tracy Morgan appeared in Manhattan's criminal court this morning for his DUI charge. 'Ol boy is looking rough...symptoms of withdraw. I understand it's hot out but why is he looking all sweaty and like a straight up bum. Guess sportin' that SCRAM anklet is a mutha! Suge Knight was spotted out in LA lunching solo. Word is he's currently starring as himself in the Sylvester Stallone directed movie "Notorious". Suge, an actor? Guess them "DeathRow" checks aren't coming in.
Comedian and recovering alcoholic, Tracy Morgan, was recently spotted at Yankee game acting a fool (what else is new??) and showing off his SCRAM alcohol-monitoring anklet and told onlookers, "Check out my Lindsay Blowhan bracelet . . . I'm taking it to Jacob the Jeweler to get it blinged out!" The "30 Rock" star also "bragged about the $100,000 Jaguar he just bought - which a friend has to drive because he's on parole - and the $3 mil he made this summer," our spy said. Dude is real humble, ehh...
Looks like Tracy Morgan may be headed for more trouble! The chest baring maniac was spotted partying hard in Las Vegas but the million $ question is...WAS HE DRINKING?! You might recall back in May he escaped jail time in exchange for ankle bracelet to make sure he stays off the booze. The NYPost reports,Last weekend, Morgan went to a party at Rum Jungle in Las Vegas, where, his representative insisted, he was only drinking Red Bull. Our witness, however, claims Morgan started downing shots of vodka. He then swigged straight from the bottle, tore his shirt off and partied hard the rest of the night. Morgan, who was fined $1,000 and had his license suspended for six months, is not allowed to consume alcohol and if he tests positive at any time for it, he must wear the bracelet for another 90 days. A second violation will land him 30 days in jail. The February DUI arrest was not his first he was also busted in California in 2005 for driving under the influence. Maybe this time his crazy
