O'Brien finishes fourth overall in European Touring Car Cup
O'Brien in action earlier in the seasonHaving dropped out of this year's World Touring Car Championship half-way through, Irish privateer Emmet O'Brien was back in action for the first time in several months over the weekend, driving a BMW 320si prepared by the Danish Poulsen Motorsport squad in the FIA European Touring Car Cup at a very rainy Adria circuit in Italy. The Cup is an end-of-season blue riband event for the top competitors in the various national European touring car series and consists of two races over two days. O'Brien, who counts irritating Dublin radio station Spin 103.8 among his sponsors, put in two very strong drives, with third and fifth place finishes securing him fourth place in the Cup standings overall. The result should do him no harm when it comes to finding a team and sponsors to go racing next year.

      Tokyo: Subaru Exiga Touring Concept
Along with the redesigned Impreza WRX STi, Subaru will unveil the Exiga Touring Concept at this year's Tokyo Motor Show held this month. The exterior looks very production-ready and we speculate it will be converted to a production car sometime next year. However, we speculate it won't replace any current model. The car is too low to be the successor of the Forester compact SUV. It's a tad too

      Touring the Islands of Croatia
Imagine you are sitting on a wide white-gold beach made of little pebbles that shift softly every time you move, rounding to your reclining body. The sun is hot. The trees behind you – not palms, too clichéd – whisper gently in the breeze, which is just enough to keep you from feeling overcooked. The waves lap gently as you get up and plunge into water so clear you can meet the eyes of the fish swimming below you. The Islands of Brac & Hvar Bol, Croatia If you’ve got all that, you’ve got my day today. I’m in Bol, Croatia, on Zlatni Rat beach. And I’m here because my friend, Steve, did to me what I just did to you, except by phone. He rang from the beach, told me I had to come here; I Googled it, now I’m here and he’s the hero – this place is fabulous. Zlatni Rat is the beach proudly displayed in all the tourist guff for Croatia. It’s also known as the ‘Golden Horn’ because it is a spit of pebbled beach reaching out into the Adriatic from

Spice Girls are going to be touring in style
According to the Sun Magazine in the UK, the Spice Girls costumes for their tour is going to be designed by Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. Victoria Beckham is friends with him, and she actually wears a lot of his designs. Wouldn't it be amusing to see 'Sporty Spice' in a gown?I'm even more excited now, and I can't wait for the Spice Girls to release their new single. I was a huge Spice Girls fan growing up, and I have followed there solo careers since then. I'm still hoping to get tickets, now that I can order them on ticket master rather than having to be randomly selected. I would love to see them, and hear them in action!

No Touring Plans for Led Zeppelin
Although the band is playing a tribute show for Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records, they aren’t planning on staging a full fledged tour afterwards according to Robert Plant. Of course, Robert Plant also said that there would never be a reunion either. I bet if the $$ is right, they will be touring.  $$ is a pretty good motivator.  The original KISS, Eagles, and The Police come to mind about a few bands that said “never”, but changed their mind with a few dollar signs. michael bublé is touring the UK!
There is something about this Canadian singer. With eleven million albums sold and two Grammy nominations to his singing career, he's none other than Michael Bublé. When he was here on his Asia tour few years ago, it created waves and sweeping responses from ardent fans and music enthusiasts. When I found out that he is doing his UK tour this coming November, I was disappointed. It wouldn't possible for me to make a trip to attend his LIVE concert again since we are already booked for our Hawaii trip. This singing tour of Michael promises to a big one starting from Brighton to Birmingham, then to Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Nottingham and finally London. If you are a fan of Michael Bublé and happen to be around these areas, you can still check for your concert tickets availability at Viagogo.co.uk. This is one cool online booking site for concert tickets, sports tickets, art and theatre tickets and more. Besides booking and buying tickets, it also allows us

      ACS5 Sport Touring BMW M5 552
The ACS5 Sport Touring is based on the BMW M5 has 500 liters luggage space meeting 552 red-hot HP (406 kW). Plenty of room in every respect for incomparable driving pleasure on one hand, and a hang-glider, surfboard or mountain bike on the other. Drivers of vehicles like this think in different terms from conventional sports car drivers. But no way do they lag behind when it comes to driving dynamics. In comparison with the 507 HP base model, AC Schnitzer extracts a good ten percent more power from the free-revving ten-cylinder M-engine. While the luggage space can be expanded by simply foldingdown the seats, this is far more complicated for engine power. As well as a custom engine control module, AC Schnitzer fits a special exhaust manifold, sports catalysts and a twin rear silencer with increased gas flow to keep the exhaust back pressure as low as possible. To avoid reining in this highly trained endurance athlete unnecessarily, AC Schnitzer has also removed the V-max limit so the ACS

New Blog Entry From Mogwai: End Of Touring
Hello everyone.Well, thanks to everyone that came to Connect to see us, it was a very enjoyable show. Made only slightly more enjoyable by the fact that afterwards, Dominic informed me that there was an eager Primal Scream fan (they were on after us) right at the front for most of the gig telling us we were shite and getting really pissed off with our tunes. The guy was obviously a genius because everyone knows he could have just walked back up the hill to the bar, had a few pints and been back where he was standing with complete ease instead of making a clown of himself in front of loads of people for an hour and fifteen minutes. I had no idea this was going on because I had earplugs in (why didn't he?). Probably a Rangers fan too! So, aye, that's us finished the touring for 2007 and again, thanks if you came to see us this year. It's time for us to get stuck in to the recording of the album now so we'll see you at the other end with some new "jams" and apocryphal tales.Cheers ver

      R. Kelly Not Touring
On September 17th, R. Kelly will be heading to a Chicago area courtroom to face charges of child pornography. So, it came as quite a surprise to many when singer Keyshia Cole revealed that she would be touring with the troubled rapper in October. It’s unclear whether the possible opening act simply made this up or if R. Kelly doesn’t know how to use a calendar, but a Halloween tour definitely will not be happening

Touring Proves too Much for Amy WInehouse
In an article on E! I learned that touring is a bit too much for Amy Winehouse. I guess if you want to see her live you will have to plan a retreat. RETREAT I said...not REHAB. I want to be very clear on this...it is NOT REHAB.:D--The Clever Cynichttp://theclevercynic.blogspot.com/http://theclevercynic.blogspot.com/

Eight Great Sites for Touring Cyclists
Warm ShowersThis site's made my day - the Warm Showers concept has been around since the early nineties but has only recently become a fully mappified website. If only we'd known about it sooner. When you sign up, you are joining a network of people who offer accommodation facilities to touring cyclists. You can choose what you offer, from a camping spot on the lawn to full B&B service, and dictate your own terms. In return, you get access to everybody else on the network for accommodation when you're touring, and the hopeful excitement that maybe somebody will take you up on your offer. The idea of letting a stranger into your home might make some people a bit uneasy - I think people are quite wary about doing so, and there are some good reasons out there, but those good reasons are few and far between and being afraid of them is really not very constructive. While travelling last year we were often helped by kind strangers who helped us find somewhere to stay or somewhere to eat, or

Cars : Ferrari 340 America Touring Barchetta
When Enzo Ferrari set up shop for himself he was joined by engineer Gioachino Colombo, with whom he had also worked in his final years as an independent contractor for Alfa Romeo. Never lacking ambition, Ferrari wanted to perform on the highest level, which meant he would have to take on his old employer in Grand Prix racing and more specifically the 158 'Alfetta' racer, which he had Colombo design at the end of the 1930s. The regulations dictated a maximum displaced of 1.5 litre with forced induction or 4.5 litre naturally aspirated. Like he did for Alfa Romeo, Colombo opted for the forced induction route for Ferrari's first engine.Other than sharing its displacement, there was very little in common between Alfa Romeo's straight eight and Ferrari's V12. With a multi purpose application in mind the Ferrari engine was designed with natural aspiration first. Colombo also penned the first chassis for Ferrari, but he jumped ship before either was completed. His replacement was former
