So my last post got me called a misogynist, which is rather unfair, since I don’t hate women so much as I hate people in general. That’s why my blog has the sub-heading "Antisocial Commentary." I even wrote a book with that title. I’m not sure how that’s unclear. Am I not using a big enough font? Ok, ok, I don’t hate people, at least not the way I hate Grey’s Anatomy, but I do find them to be grating and tiresome, like one of the later episodes of M*A*S*H where Alan Alda spent the whole time whining about the horrors of war rather than playing amusing tricks on Hot Lips Hoolihan. Except that unlike with M*A*S*H, you can’t just tune it out, because people keep poking you and telling you that it’s your nephew’s birthday and you should really be watching him open presents rather than sitting on the couch in the other room reading The New Yorker. My in-laws are Dutch, and there’s a Dutch word for being sociable that I can’t spell which is pronounced huh

I dislike having my photo taken. I really didn’t know why until fairly recently.
It’s incredibly upsetting when I see news articles about someone printing inappropriate pictures involving children at a Walmart, another being caught with 20+ years worth of photos of the same type manner, another where they’re searching desperately for the little girl in a video. The list goes on.
I want to vomit.
It’s probably a silly thought, but what if that man has photos of me? I don’t know him. I don’t know any of these people they’re arresting for these same crimes around the world. I don’t know any of them. What if they have my picture though? If anyone had a picture from then, doubtful they’d recognize me now. When I was working one night, I had the most wonderful conversation.... No, not really..... A girl comes walking in, at first she seemed somewhat intelligent, nice.....But then, the racial slurs began... I was forced to endure her views on why the minorities are the downfall of America and all kinds of good stuff.... I am being tame here, because I will not lower myself and use the words she used.....I understand I live in the south now..... But if you are in a public place and using racial slurs and someone is obviously uncomfortable, shut up.... Find something else to talk about.... I grew up in a house, (my dad is a good 'ole boy from Alabama) where I heard the term all the time and discrimination was strong... I couldn't stand it then and I certainly can't stand it now...I don't understand that way of thinking.... Last time I checked life isn't fair for any of us....Welcome to the world!!! Today, Jeb Bush's Foundation for Florida's Future sent out an e-mail offering up some facts about the test, which has been given to students all week and continues next week.
