I was hoping things would've cleared up by this point, but that's definitely not the case. Here are the people who can finish with over 6 points, along with how many they've already clinched, the totals they still have pending, and their tiebreakers:TJR needs a lot to go right, but if Buffalo, Houston, Philly, and New Orleans all win, he'll take it.Keir is probably in the best shape, mostly becau

I'm closing in on that $5 though.AL has clinched at least six, but can't get over seven, as he has the NYJ under and they've already reached their total of eight wins. The only one still up in the air for him is the Philly over. For the tiebreaker, if someone who had a really low guess (

The current top 10:This is totally unacceptable. MoneyLine stands to lose only $15. The whole point of this was that it would be funny for him to have to PayPal $5 for 60 different people. One of the best betting system in soccer is based on the Poisson likelihood theory. You only need the mathematical formula and the data about the goals scored and conceded by the involved team. Then you can calculate very easily whether the total goals in the game is under or over 2.5. Which are the best leagues to apply this automatic bettingy strategy? Certainly those ones where enough statistic

We ended up with 175 entries. Everybody's picks can be found here, and a summary of "who picked whom" is here. Hopefully those work. The most popular picks, just in terms of the number of people who had them on their card, were SEA O (69), BAL O (63), PHI O (59), CHI U (57), and OAK U (47). 27 people had the New England over. That sucks. The least popular picks were CHI O and NO U; those were

Well, every other month I have been all excited to post our new debt totals. Not so much this month. We slacked off big time and had a great time doing so. We'll be back hitting that credit card debt hard in September.

You probably saw this one coming.RulesThere will not be any complex voting extravaganza like there was for the MLB contest. This time we'll just do it by division, so everyone will take a team from each one. It'll end up being eight picks per person instead of 10, but that's fine since 10 was a completely arbitrary number anyway.Groups and Official TotalsMost of these are from Pinnacle, although

My computer crashed the other day, so I'm not sure what the prize pool is up to, but it's somewhere around $270. I'll figure it out at some point.I've added an extra column to show how many picks each contestant would get right if the season ended today.Alexi T. is ruining the fun for everyone else. More early estimates, more numbers. We love those big numbers. After a good Thursday opening with $25 million, ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ is picking up its pace. Yesterday’s $25 million was a little disappointing, considering how early projections were much higher. But now it seems like the movie is playing [...]
I will refrain myself from using the word ‘crash’ in this post, but I think you know where I’m going with this. ‘Speed Racer’ didn’t manage to pick up speed. ‘Speed Racer’ wasn’t fast enough. ‘Speed Racer’ passed by ‘Iron Man.’
In short, ‘Speed Racer’ just didn’t meet Warner Bros’ expectations, on
There will be one of these at the beginning of each months. Lots of meaningless tables follow.Everybody is doing pretty well so far, I'd say. The metric I made up to create these standings is very simple. It's just how many games a team is on pace to win, minus their over/under. Take, for example, the White Sox. They are 14-12, which is an 87.2 win pace. Their O/U was 78. So if you have their over, that's +9.2, and the under is -9.2.Obviously, at the end of the season, you'll just get one point for each correct prediction, but this is a more interesting way to do it for now.The average is +19.3. That's pretty good. Most of that can probably be attributed to the Oakland O, Detroit U, and Tampa O all doing very well- a lot of people had those. Here are the 10 best bets so far:Almos
If Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama really want to take the Democratic nomination, they need to score 2,024 delegates, a figure that includes pledged delegates and superdelegates, to amass the insurmountable total that would force the other out of the race. Why, then, can no single news source agree on how many total delegates either candidate...
We ended up with 113 entries. Thanks to everyone who participated. I figured I should post my picks so I am not accused of cheating if I win. I should have done this a few days ago. Sorry. I don't even really want to win, I think that'd be a pretty anticlimactic way to end the contest. Anyway:SEA U, TB O, STL U, OAK O, SD U, PHI U, LAA U, FLA O, CLE O, HOU U, .558.Some of these were interesting. NCH's entry was all unders, which really isn't a terrible strategy, considering the totals we used added up to 81.2.The entry that agreed most with the consensus was JDA's (Nick W-S, "contrarian" MoneyLine, and Hoody were the next three most boring). Jared P's entry, which included the Seattle, Detroit, and St. Louis over, was the most unusual.Expect a completely premature standings update
As promised, I am running this post again, for anyone who did not join last week. There is now even more incentive to participate, as Kansas has reached the Sweet 16, thus potentially increasing the prize pool. Now, for the contest. First off, we will be using the current BetCRIS totals. So if you planned on taking Tampa Over 72, too bad- it's 76 now.Rules Here's how it will work. There are ten groups. The first group consists of the three teams for which the consensus was strongest- San Francisco, Colorado, Seattle. The second group is the fourth through sixth most "obvious"- the Mets, Milwaukee, and Tampa. And so on. This was done to prevent everyone from having the same picks, because that would be boring.Pick one team from each group. Then, obviously, indicate whether you think they'
I have some doubs in BDC and SMART FORMS. I want to change the material number using the transaction code MM02 through BDC.In scripts and smartforms how to calculate totals and subtotals? To calculate totals and sub totals in sap scripts you have to use subroutines.Say if you have to add the unit price (KOMVD-KBERT) then in the main window whereever tat value is picked write this routine/: DEFINE &TOT_PRICE&/: PERFORM F_GET_PRICE IN PROGRAM /:USING &KOMVD-KBERT& /:CHANGING &TOT_PRICE& /:ENDPERFORMThen write the variable where ever you want it to be printed (mostly it will be in footer window)Then create subroutine pool program and you have to write the code.FORM F_GET_PRICE tables int_cond structure itcsy outt_cond structure itcsy.
We did it. There were a total of 1,663 votes on the 30 teams- 861 of which (51.8%) were "Under". The full results can be found here. Thanks to everyone who voted. Now, for the contest. Here are the results so far:The White Sox poll is up now. Here is what I was thinking. Once we get through all 30 teams, I'll split them up into ten groups. Group A will be the three most lopsided totals (currently Seattle, Tampa and Atlanta). Group B will be the next 3 most lopsided, and so on. Then, you pick one over/under from each group. We throw some tiebreakers in there, and everybody makes their picks. I'll throw in a *small* prize (I don't know, $50) to motivate people to participate and keep things interesting.I figured that this will give us more variety than if we just do "pick 10 totals", and everybody has Seattle U, Tampa O, St. Louis U, etc.Make sense?
I can’t believe it’s December already!
Here are my totals for the month of November:
Surveys : $37.40
I was really a survey slacker this month. I received payments for surveys and/or testing products from the following companies: Pinecone, Survey Spot, Esearch, Survey Savvy, UCLA, and a mystery $7 check from who knows.
Gift Cards : $30.00
From Baker Street and my husbands company.
Rebates : $68.55
I received rebates from Colgate, Ebates, and Free HostICan.
Found Money : $100.54
I lost track somewhere after the middle of the month but it’s close enough. This day brought the big money.
Ebay Sales : $11.34
Only a few of those numbers changed from the middle of the month. I’m going to attempt to be a bit more focused in December.
In total, I made $247.83 in extra money for the month of November. Certainly better then zero!

I plan on working on the story a bit more tonight, but I thought I'd take a break and put up my weekly totals.
