Torre walked away from the New York Yankees after 12 seasons as manager last month when they offered him a one-year contract with a paycut. La noticia que circulaba hace unos días, ya es oficial. La capilla de Suurhusen en Alemania a desplazado a la torre inclinada de Pisa del titulo “El edificio mas inclinado del mundo” del Libro Guinness.
Para sorpresa de muchos la casi desconocida Torre de Suurhusen con sus 5.07 grados de inclinación resulto ser mas inclinada que la famosa Torre de Pisa (Italia) que con solo 3.97 grados de inclinación poseía la marca mundial.
La Torre de la capilla que data del siglo XIII (1450), tiene una altura de 27.3 metros con un rango de 2.47 metros, y se encuentra en el poblado de Suurhusen, al norte de Alemania.
El certificado Guinness fue entregado este 8 de noviembre, en el día mundial de los Récords Guinness, y se espera su inclusión en la edición 2008 del celebre Libro Guinness de los Records… (ver videos)

I feel sorry for Grady Little. It's like deja vu all over again, this time this departure may be even more cruel. After all he had accomplished — four World Series titles, 12 straight years in the playoffs, almost certain entry into the Hall of Fame — and after all the indignities, this was one Joe Torre wasn’t going to stand for.

Let me begin by stating that, despite disliking the Yankees, Joe Torre is my new hero. To work for a franchise and in a city where you're always going to be the scapegoat -- blamed for the bad and ignored about the good -- has got to get to a person, yet he did it with class and dignity. Even if you hate the team, you have got to respect that.And then there is that whole leading the team to four Championships and nine straight division championships thing. Sure, the Yankees haven't won in a while -- but it's not his fault. (See, e.g., Jeter, Derek and his surprisingly low 2007 postseason batting average.) But I digress.
