Former Bush Press Secretary Tony Snow died today from cancer at the age of 53. I am sure he will be missed by fans of Fox "News" and those in the Bush administration. While it is unfortunate that his time was cut short, we can take consolation in the knowledge that Snow was around long enough to experience the end of racism in America.H/T to The Carpetbagger ReportTags: Tony Snow, cancer, Bush, ra

At the bottom is CNN video about the Tony Snow resignation. What I found incredibly telling though was the quote from Allahpundit at Hot Air. It is a perfect example of how our President has lost support from most of his base. And I agree with him. Snow must have been drowning in horseshit the last couple of years. ~RJH HotAir article link Breaking: Tony Snow resigns effective September 14; Update: Press conference video added (video at HotAir) posted at 11:55 am on August 31, 2007 by Allahpundit Just across on Fox. Prayers for Tony Snow/ Disgusting press conference.
Just like Edwards' wife and all people who suffer, really, I hope and pray Snow is OK. His replacement (temporary, I hope), Dana Perino, did a wonderful job. She's very charismatic (and pretty). The questions from the reporters were horrible, however. This is what happens: 1. Perino gives a statement saying Snow is sick and that he doesn't want to talk about the specifics of his illness. 2. Perino then follows Snow's wishes and makes a very important statement on a very important issue. Namely, the Democratic effort to lose the war in Iraq before it's too late. 3. So, when she Dana opens up the floor to questions, what do we get? You guessed it. "What's his pain medication?" "What will be the course of treatment?" Who cares? I'm sure the doctors are on it. Why do the American people have to know this stuff? What can they do about it once they do? Why is it asked after being told he doesn't want to talk about it? Why can't we hear questions on something the American people

His attitude is, one, that he is not going to let this whip him, and he's upbeat. My attitude is, is that we need to pray for him, and for his family.Obviously, a lot of folks here in the White House worry a lot about their friend, as do Laura and I. And so my message to Tony is, stay strong; a lot of people love you and care for you and will pray for you. And we're hoping for all the best.
