Life is good for country music star Toby Keith. About.com has named him country Entertainer of the Year award. Fans voted on different country singers. Keith fans will not want to miss his tv performance this week. He’s doing and an exclusie interview for A&E’s Private Sessions. It’s going to be shown this Sunday, August 5th. Check local listings for times. Toby recently drew the largest single night crowd in the 30-year history at a country music festival in Morris Town, Ohio. And his new album is doing well. The album is called Big Dog Daddy and it was released in June. The single “High Maintenance Woman” has been rising on the charts. It was also rated high with About.com voters. The song is about a woman he’s attracted to. She’s high maintenance (which sometimes is another way to say her standards are high). He worries he’s out of her league because he’s a different kind of mainteance - a maintenance man.

Toby Keith beat out rapper Fabolous to become the No. 1 selling artist in the country last week. Keith's Big Dog Daddy will debut atop the next Billboard 200 chart as it enjoyed sales of 204,500 copies.

Big Dog Daddy is Keith’s 12th studio release but his first attempt at producing. In all likelihood though, he might have just left the mixing board untouched from the previous country group in the studio. (Little-known fact: Keith is also a restaurateur--from listening to this album, I’m guessing his menu has such exotic foods as burgers and fries, and steak and potatoes. Ooh la la!)
