I’ve realised recently how dull my dreams have become, I usually dream lucidly however recently I’ve started waking up the moment I start to change the parameters of the narrative or simply my location, it’s most probably stress, something I felt I’d had a grip on over the past year or two. I could [...]
The question of Time Travel is no longer confined to the realm of fantasy and wishful thinking. It is a possibility as real as 'Remote Viewing', 'Teleportation' or 'Telekinesis'. Most of us know about the recent Big Bang Experiment which begun in Switzerland inside the LHC where they are trying to create miniature black holes by smashing protons against each other. While most who believed this bla
In the 1985 film Back to the Future, it took Doc Brown 30 years of his life and his entire family fortune to realize his vision of creating a time machine... When I was a kid my dad told me that there is really a time machine. He said that it is in a very secret place because the government doesn't want it to be used. He added that when somebody will be caught using it, the police will get them. I know my dad was just making a story to stop my imagination about time travel. And yes, as a kid I was really afraid of the police. They use it to scare me wh
Indeed Einstein made equations man could possibly formulate, but is there such a thing as time travel formula, machine or method? We can travel in time, always forward, and time passed will never be back, but some people are trying to come up with solution to go back to time. What do you think?

I stood there and looked at my party, sitting outside the entrance to the Palace of the Moon. I thought about how much more time it was going to take to get all the way back down to that final battle...

Is Time Travel possible? Theoretical physicist and 2057 host Michio Kaku explores the possibilities. Some people said Time Travel is possible because time is relative to an observer based on his position and speed. If you are moving faster, time is slower. Time is the 4th dimension and you have to pass through the 4th dimension to accomplish time time travel. It is the same as time dilation.
This is a little clip of how time travel can occur. It was taken from: The World's First Time Machine (Discovery Channel). Dr Ronald Mallet. This is just a theory of Einstein and maybe it could possibly occurs.time travel, theory of relativity, Einstein's Big Idea, time machine
It has been suggested bu physicists such as Max Tegmark that the absence of time travel and the existence of causality might due to the anthropic principle. The argument is that a universe which allows for time travel and closed time-like loops in one in which intelligence could not evolve because it would be impossible for a being to sort events in a past and future or to make predictions or comp
Time travel to the past is theoretically allowed using the following methods:Traveling faster than the speed of lightThe use of cosmic strings and black holesphysics, time travel, faster than light travel, time machine, time travel theory, metric
Some theories most notably special and general relativity, suggest that suitable geometries of spacetime, or specific types of motion in space, might allow time travel into the past and future if these geometries or motions are possible. In technical papers physicists generally avoid the commonplace language of "moving" or "traveling" through time ("movement" normally refers only to a change in spatial position as the time coordinate is varied), and instead discuss the possibility of closed timelike curves, which are wordlines that form closed loops in spacetime, allowing objects to return to their own past. There are known to be solutions to the equations of general relativity that describe spacetimes which contain closed timelike curves, but the physical plausibility of these solutions i
Even the most outlandish science fiction could become fact, says professorBy James RandersonApril 2, The GuardianEinstein gave hope to scientists chasing the most outlandish theories when he famously declared: "If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it."He then proved the existence of black holes and the notion that time passes more slowly the faster you travel. Now one of the world's most distinguished physicists has scrutinised some of science fiction's other concepts, such as teleportation and forcefields, and is convinced that they too can become reality.Professor Michio Kaku, of City University in New York, has ruled out time travel for at least a few millennia, but believes invisibility cloaks and telepathy could be possible this century."So many times predicti

Much of the history of Food is one of change. Sometimes this has been merely the result of fashion - but often it is a function of the way markets work and of the sustainability of the supply. For example, some ingredients which are expensive today were dirt-cheap a hundred years ago. An American turn of the (last) century recipe for ketchup comes to mind, for example, which blithely called for the addition of a couple of lobsters as seasoning! Or Carème nonchalantly specified in one recipe Dover sole two feet in length ...'or thereabouts' (I can't remember when I last even saw a sole this size in the fishmongers, let alone decided the budget would stand the cost). Molinari, in his 'Grande Libro della Cucina Italiana' suggests using a couple of black truffles, just to add a bit of
The Tholos area shows a virtual journey to Athens from archaic times to the Roman era, getting a close up view of the city’s temples and beautiful buildings. With the goddess Athena as guide in the Agora visitors watch the destruction of Athens by the Persians, participate in building the Poikile Stoa, follow the Panathenaic Procession and can even vote in a process known as ‘ostrakismos’ which allowed citizens to vote out men who where believed to be a threat for the good of the city; visitors take part in this process by pressing a button next to their seats and expressing their opinion of who they want to depart. Finally, the newest virtual reality tour takes visitors on a walk through Ancient Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.‘The target was to create a user-friendly GUI

"JourneyMan" recently aired an episode in which a brand new digital camera from 2007 was left and found in 1983. It was studied, and the technology was used to create a rapid technological breakthrough that propelled past industries beyond our present level. JourneyMan returned to the present to find paper-thin computer screens, holographic PC projections, and nanotech-infused office equipment. The technology was amazing, but presented as blasphemous, because the changes had also erased JM's son. Before everything was resolved, I saw some technology commercials that seemed to fit right in with the show. I wondered if we've got technology that we shouldn't. Do we have advanced tech because of time travel? Was it accidental, or intentional?I once saw a show or read a story where the creation of time travel was considered a bad thing, because there was no longer any innovation. People would travel from the future to the past and keep making discoveries earlier and earlier, until

It is Friday again and Friday's are for fun, and it is state fair time already. Plenty of deep fried food, and just about everything else on a stick.
I have been thinking about time travel lately. I am trying to figure out how to make the most of it. There is a ten minute time difference in my home from the second floor to the first. My office is ten minuets behind my bedroom so every morning I gain eight minutes, and 30 seconds during my 90 second commute from bed to office, including the stop at the coffee pot.
If I walk from the microwave to the coffee pot I lose a minute even though they are only a few feet apart. When I go from my office to my car I lose 7 minutes even though my car is parked just outside my office door, but I gain it back again when I go from my car to my office, which is nice.
Time travel is common. I see the same thing in our MLS. A home will be on the market for 90 days and then I look it up a
1972 was the year I became conscious. By that I mean that from age six onwards I have more of a narrative memory than from the time before. 1972 was the year I started school (getting one of those huge cylindrical things filled with sweets), became interested in the news (I remember following the Munich massacre), TV was great (Star Trek, Hitparade, Partridge Family, Sergeant Percy, Der Bastian), and I kicked off my fascination with the English language, thanks to the transmission of US episodes of Sesame Street (shown in West Germany to test whether parents would accept such a revolutionary TV concept). My love affair with the English language would not find expression for another five years, but Big Bird, Oscar and Ernie (and Gordon and Susan and Bob) sowed a seed. And I was in Kiel during the sailing segment of the Olympic Games. Sounds grandiose, but I don't remember seeing any sailing boats, only the hotel and my mother buying me a book about Sammy the seal.1972 was a happy year.
We’re all familiar with the idea of traveling across geography, but what about time?
Theoretical Physicist Michio Kaku presents his case in the above video clip. He also writes more about the idea in an article “The Physics Of Time Travel”
“Not surprisingly, time travel has always been considered impossible. After all, Newton believed that time was like an arrow; once fired, it soared in a straight, undeviating line. One second on the earth was one second on Mars. Clocks scattered throughout the universe beat at the same rate.
Einstein gave us a much more radical picture.
According to Einstein, time was more like a river, which meandered around stars and galaxies, speeding up and slowing down as it passed around massive bodies. One second on the earth was Not one second on Mars. Clocks scattered throughout the universe beat to their own distant drummer.”

You may know Google News Archive Search. I enjoy using it to search for old, historical stories. Soon I noticed that the oldest (free) stories came from the archives of Time Magazine, which are fully available for searching and reading (don't miss the covers!). Looking for articles containing the words "Streptomyces" or "actinomycete" in the complete Time archive, I got only five hits. Remarkably, they were written on 1948, 1949, 1950 and 1963. (So sad, it seems nothing related to these terms has happened in almost 50 years!)The Time articles, which deal with the discovery of antibiotics from actinomycetes, are:Antibiotic for Plants (Nov. 22, 1948). Actidione, now better known as cycloheximide, a product of Streptomyces griseus.Man of the Soil (April 4, 1949). Neomycin. You may have guessed that the "man" refers to Selman Waksman, the Father of Antibiotics. The Healing Soil (Nov. 7, 1949). Entertaining, long article about antibiotics (actinomycin, streptomycin, etc) and Waksman*.New An
Image if we could travel into the future? What would we see? Ms. Latina Renee Enterprise, LLC visits the HDRKID Time Travel Forum. Its an open minded place, where people are free to discuss experiences they have had that may help other forum members. It may be a could place to bring new business and technology ideas in an attempt to shape our future. The forum dates back to 2005, with a quote from hdrkid, the site administrator, "Thanks. I want to tell you that in the future we all live in harmony. Wars and violence are a thing of the past. So happy to see the far future when people are finally free." Obviously, hdrkid is looking towards the end time of the chaos of our current events. His vision comes as a delight as we mark the 4th anniversary of the Iraq war.
This news non-story, released today, tells us that physicists have recently reiterated what we already knew, that you can't travel back in time, except maybe with a wormhole or superstring, the manipulation of which is well out of our reach.I got a link to the story for you so you can brush up on your String Theory for Dummies. I know I need it.Oh, and I got the article from Fox News, so there's a little thing in there about how the inability to travel back in time proves the Iraq War was a good idea. The urge to hug a departed loved one again or prevent atrocities are amongthe compelling reasons that keep the notion of time travel alive in the minds ofmany. While the idea makes for great fiction, some scientists now saytraveling to the past is impossible. Google Patents is not crawling much in Beta, yet searching over 7 million Patents to start with. Results ranging from long ago till this year. Type in the keyword "paperclip" and you'll find many paperclip designs since the early 1900s. The earliest one I've seen is from 1901, and doesn't look like the conventional clip. You can bend a paperclip and use it to open your CD-ROM drive. You can bend it and shoot it across the room with a rubber band. You can think of other uses for this old and simple, yet brilliant idea. The smartest part of it, is the fact it was patented.Having the ability to search so many patents may inspire others to new ideas. I think it's cool. Just make sure you patent your invention when you slip, fall, hit your head, and get a vision of the flux-capacitor, making time travel possible! We can only imagine what would be possible with a time machine!
