If I am not traveling, my day usually starts at 7:00 a.m. I work for an hour or so in bed on my laptop, then, depending upon the day, I work out with my trainer at my house, shower, and leave for the office by 9:00. Time management is a skill that we all need, especially, if like me, you work for yourself and have no evil overload employer or wannabe supervisor putting pressure on you to reach a deadline.
My major problem is that I tend to get lost in the creativity process. Once I get my teeth into something, such as coding, I tend to blot out all else until it’s done. I get into a flow, and getting into that flow and it may take me 30 minutes or more to get sufficiently involved that I start doing really quality work. Once I’m in the flow I don’t like to be distracted or break the flow, or I have to start the process again!
Unfortunately, getting so involved with work is detrimental as I tend to forget other things and end up setting alarms to remind me of important appointments because I definitely can’t miss them.

When I decided to address time management I did some research and thought about the courses I have taken in my university studies. This subject can be long and discussed forever but that is not truly necessary in my opinion. I have a time management problem. I seem to be constantly busy, but almost none of that time is spent in billable hours. I have so many things to do, it almost feels like I don't know what to do first. I work with two local hospices as a comfort therapist; I'm growing my hypnotherapy practice; I have a virtual assistance business; I write for 3 blogs and manage 2 websites.All that is the business part of my life.
