James Cameron’s AVATAR Aliens Look Like….Thundercats?
Cheetara is pissed! The image on the upper left is from a staff T-shirt given to an AVATAR crew member by actor Sam Worthington. This is apparently the first look at the alien race called Na’vi in James Cameron’s 2009 3D Movie (that Will Eat the World). In the film, Na’vi live on a planet called Pandora and they’re described as a “humanoid race with its own rich language and culture.”

      ThunderCats Movie Model?
"ThunderCats movie makes me want to run far far away and hide from the Langolier that is booming ’80s nostalgia. Furthering my phobia, Snarfs were probably a distant ancestor of LOLCats. Above is an alleged head model rendering of one the film’s combative furballs (probably Panthro) from Warner Bros‘ 2010 all-CG adaptation of the cult cartoon series/ironic mall T-shirts. Thundercats to the CGI Screen
Thundercats Ho! Do you remember Thundercats from the 80's? I do. I thought Lion-O's sword, The Sword of Omens, which he used to summon the team and do battle with Mumm-Ra and his minions was totally cool. I also liked Panthro's cool toys and Cheetara's speed. In case you don't know who / what the Thundercats are, they are a group of cats in humanoid shape that fled their home planet of Thundera after it was destroyed. After escaping that catastrophe, they rename the planet on which they landed 'Third Earth.' They must also constantly defend themselves from the evil sorcerer Mumm-Ra who is hell bent on destroying them. In June of 2007, it was reported that Warner Bros. optioned a script by Paul Sopocy with the intent of making it into a movie. Paula Weinstein was lined up to p

ThunderCats DVD
ThunderCats was an American animated television series developed and produced by Rankin/Bass Productions, debuting in 1983 based on the characters created by Tobin "Ted" Wolf. The animation was provided by Pacific Animation Corporation, the working name for a collective of Japanese studios prominently including Topcraft, a group who would later go on to form Studio Ghibli. Season 1 of the show aired in 1985 (65 episodes), followed by a TV movie entitled ThunderCats - HO! in 1986. Seasons 2, 3, and 4 followed a new format of twenty episodes each, starting with a five-part story; these aired from 1987 to 1988, 1988 to 1989, and 1989 to 1990, respectively. Set against a backdrop juxtaposing science-fiction and fantasy elements, the ThunderCats series tells a good-versus-evil tale of mythic proportions, featuring an equal mix of high-technology and magic, hand-to-hand combat, and a central core of championed values. Its anthropomorphic heroes, the ThunderCats, are pitted against a

ThunderCats are on the go! ThunderCats are loose! Warner Brothers has optioned a script adapting the 1980s cartoon, ThunderCats, to a live action movie. The cartoon revolved around leotard clad cat-people who crashed on Third Earth after their own planet was destroyed. Lots of action and hollering of “HO!” ensued. Thundercats are GO!
By the sword of Omens, looks like Warner Bros. have gained sight beyond sight. After commissioning another He-Man film, they have well and truly been bitten by the nostalgia bug and have optioned a script for a Thundercats live-action movie. According to Variety, the script, by Paul Sopocy, is an origin story (as everything must be nowadays) detailing Lion-O’s path to becoming the leader of the Thundercats. All the favourites will feature including Tygra, Panthra and Cheetarah. We’re banking on Gary Oldman as Mumm-Ra. And Rob Schneider as Snarf.

Thundercats Tuesday and Helpful Hints for Paris Hilton During Incarceration
Chickens may have arrived in the New World before Columbus(At last, The Great Gonzo is vindicated!)Happy Birthday - Singer Brian McKnight is 38. Please excuse me while my heart flutters and I faint, falling softly to the ground while drooling and moaning.Yes, I likes me some Brian McKnight, thank you very much.Well, Paris Hilton has survived her first night in jail. Notice I say "jail" and not "prison".Why do I make that distinction?Because when I think of women and prison...unfortunately...I think of the movie "Caged Heat". (I must remember to thank Ed H. for that image, BTW - eeewww - hot sweaty prisons and lots of angry, violent people that could beat the crap out of me - thanks a lot.)But again - I wonder two things:1) Why the HELL is the public (myself included) even slightly interested in this information?2) Actually, I forgot the second thing so there's really only one thing.Let's face it - LA's county jail ain't Mayberry, with Otis Campbell possessing his own set of keys

THE UNTOLD STORY OF PRIOR AND WOOD : ThunderCats, trail mix,and bears, oh yes!!!/Open Thread
Wood and Prior stand reflectively next to an unknown pitcher.  He's probably looking to them for pitching tips. Apparently the whole reason for his and Prior's injuries relates to a camping trip the two took together after the oft-maligned 2003 season.  In late November, 2003, the two took to the Appalachians in search of some emotional and spiritual cleansing.  Instead of the usual faith and/or progs approach of drinking yourself stupid over a Cubs loss, both Prior and Wood felt that a reconnection with nature was the way to get things back into focus.  After a full day of hiking, Wood (who was walking a few yards in front of Prior) noticed the perfect spot to set up the tent.  It was a nice, flat area right by the river - perfect for fishing and pure relaxation.  That night, the two once-brilliant pitchers discussed the possible reasons for the literal breakdown that had occurred just a month earlier.  After talking for what seemed to be hours,

Thundercats - 80s Animated TV Series
The Thundercats TV SeriesThundercats was a great fictional-mythology TV show created by Tobin “Ted” Wolf in 1983. A good-versus-evil sci-fi cartoon TV series featured human-cats from a distant planet who possesses powers from a mystic Sword of Omens and try to promote peace but evil-mutants chase them to gain powers resulting destructions. A much enjoyable, exciting, original and dynamic tv series with good mix of technology-magic, actions, combats and fantasy. In a distant galaxy, once peaceful planet Thundera brought into it's near collapse/destruction as Mutants of Plun-darr led by centuries-old embodiment of evil Mumm-Ra terrorized the Thunderans to gain the Eye of Thundera embedded in the hilt of the mystical 'Sword of Omens' (source of Thundercats' powers), where Thunderans led by eldest sage/warrior 'Jaga The Wise', they were forced to evacuate the dying world, board starships and protect the twelve year old sole heir “Lion-O”. Thundercats Movie - Will there ever be one?
For years now there has been talk of a movie version of the 80's classic cartoon Thundercats, but still the wait continues. If there was a cartoon that should be turned in to a feature film then Thundercats gets my vote as nothing came close not even transformers which is getting all the hype at the moment. So imagine if the movie was commissioned who the hell would they cast as the main characters? Lion-O the lord of the thundercats should be played by Hugh Jackman Panthro the mechanical wizard and engineering genius should be played by Vin Diesel Tygra the warrior should be played by The Rock Cheetara: With her lightning quick speed should be played by Halle Berry WilyKit and WilyKat I have no idea The voice to snarf as they would need to CGI him would be Matthew Lillard This is just my own ideas Who else would be ideal as a character in a Thundercats movie?
