Using ThumbsUp you can easily drag-and-drop batches of images to create thumbnails. It supports any and all image formats supported by Mac OS X and QuickTime (including PDF documents).
First things first, download and install the small (and free) ThumbsUp application from Devon-Technologies. Just open the zip, then the .dmg, then drag ThumbsUp to your Applications folder. Launch it from there.

The Preferences window will appear. From here you can define how you want your images to be created - everything from size, quality, file type to name.
After you’ve set the preferences to your liking, close the window. Drag one or more images - or folders of images - onto the ThumbsUp icon in your OS X dock.
And thumbnails will be created for each and every one of the images. The output format, name etc will all depend on how you opted to set up ThumbsUp.

Con questo strumento possiamo effettuare miniature, da utilizzare come immagine rappresentativa del nostro blog in numerosissimi siti, e, perchè no, come nostro avatar personale.

After launching a custom player for Youtube users which they could put on their website or blog, now Youtube has enabled its users to choose the thumbnails for its videos. No, Youtube doesn't allows you to upload a custom image for the thumbnail but rather shows you three images, one of which you can choose for your thumbnail. These images are still generated by Youtube, when you upload a video.
This is a great tip from CyberNet. You can do a few tweaks to your registry and get bigger previews when you’re using Alt-Tab. I prefer the windows key-Tab combination but if you’re an old school atl-tabber this one is for you. There is a little registry editing involved so unless you’re comfortable with it I would proceed with caution.
