I got a new toy!!! A nice person who bought her serger seven years ago and used it few times since, lent me her serger for two months. I got to try and and play with it as much as I want. How fun! The serger is a PFAFF hobbylock 4760. It is a 4 thread serger that is quite smart with adjustable stitch length, adjustable differential feed, adjustable seam width and several sewing feet for elastic tape sewing, taping, blindstitching, beading, cording, shirring, lace sewing, string thread sewing and thread spooling. All of these features sound really compelling to me. The serger appeared to be in mint condition but unfortunately, when I got it, it wasn’t threaded. So off I went to read my manual and to figure out how to thread it. I played for good two hours threading and re-threading the machine but only to get some poor results. I was wondering if the babylock sergers are the only ones in which you can thread the machine in any order... I have been given a Huskylock 1003LCD from my Aunt that she hasn't used in a few years since she has upgraded. She lives far away and unfortunately I didn't get instruction from her on how to thread it. It came with a manual for the 1002LCD but I am finding that the drawing for threading the machine leave much to be desired. From the posts I've read, that seems to be a common opinion. I have contacted the Husqvarna Viking manufacturer and am asking to purchase the video but haven't received an naswer yet. I've checked with a few dealers around here and they seem to be reluctant to train on past models and a Brother dealer won't train because the machine says Viking and not Brother even though it is made by Brother. Hello. New poster, here, and I have a few questions. I inherited a sewing machine from my grandmother when she passed away, and would like to put it to use. It's a model 776 Singer Stylist, and seems to be in working order. I've never used a sewing machine, so I'm at a complete loss as to how to thread it. I believe it may be missing some parts (at least 1 bobbin from the look of it), but, since I can't find any information on threading that particular model, I can't be sure.
