      Sometimes bad things happen…
…to good people in unfortunate circumstances such as medical situations and family emergencies. During these tough times its not uncommon to have some bills go unpaid and possibly even missed mortgage payments. These events can have devastating effects on their credit profile as well and some people find themselves in a position where their credit [...]

      Why Bad Things Happen ...
After my parents died last summer, I decided that we are all like puppies in a Benevolent Veterinarian's office. The Vet loves us, and only hurts us when absolutely necessary. But no matter what, we will never understand Veterinary Medicine. Still, nothing pleases our Vet more than if we love and trust Him anyway.Blessings,Cyndiwww.warrenfamilylife.com

When Bad Things Happen To Good Laundry or Hey! There’s An Alpaca In My Dryer!
Sean is a perfect husband in training. That is my goal as his mother — that he would grow up to be a good partner and helpmate to some lucky little girl.  And by good partner, I mean a man who knows how to cook a few things and put his dirty underwear in the [...]

      Things Happen for a Reason
Time heals old wound…and so does a lot of money! In an interview with New York Magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker acknowledges that Kim Cattrall holding out for more money was a good thing for the Sex and the City movie. She calls Cattrall an emotional psychic, "because this way we made a better movie.” They could've ended up [...]

When Bad Things Happen To Good People (Musing on California Firestorm)
I have been thinking a lot about the California firestorms (who isn't?). For me, it's a disaster beyond imagination. Looking at the photos on the news, it reminds me of hell - hot, burning, miserable. Photo is from this flicker site.I was very tired last night, but I wasn't going to complain. As I sat on our couch feeling exhausted, I can''t help but think of the many firefighters in California who are extremely exhausted at this time.My brother R and his family live in the LA area. Thankfully, they are safe. After I talked to him on the phone, I thank God that they are safe. Then a thought crossed my mind. How about those who's house were reduced to ashes? I wonder how many "good" people are affected by these? The answer is thousands ... thousands of them. So, "when bad thing happen to good people", how do we react? I Googled that phrase and found some articles written on it. The most famous one is that written by Harold Kushner with the same title "When Bad Things Happen to

When spazz things happen to good people- OR- Third time's a charm
Anna started a new school year off in a new school due to rezoning, and though this school is only 2 years old and is very nice (WITH air conditioning, I might add) I had my doubts. You see, not to sound like a snob but this school is on "the wrong side of the tracks". This means a rougher 'hood and rougher kids. I was a bit worried that Anna might not know how to interact with kids that have to fend for themselves a lot, and I was worried that the tougher kids might take advantage of Anna's lack of "street smarts".It's been a week and so far she loves it. She loves her teacher and the kids in her class, and come to find out that this school gets the best of the best as far as teachers in the district due to the need for teachers with the abilities to deal with the type of situations that might arise in this type of neighborhood.Anna was already doing really well in kindergarten with her reading, and though I had some slight worries that she would forget what she had learned over t

Leadership Move #31: Use Your Authority to Make Good Things Happen Sooner
Here's an idea - use your authority to solve some important problems for your staff. Is a meaningful project stuck? Use your authority to move it forward. Is there a roadblock slowing everything down? Use your authority to clear it away.Is there some annoying thing that's making your staff particularly agitated? Use your authority to make it better.Whatever it is, hit it head on. Make some waves if you have to, but show your staff you're willing to go to bat for them. Then, with that in its rightful place, challenge your staff – and their staff – to use their authority to surprise and delight you with what they can now accomplish.

      Things Happen.
Warning: Division by zero in /home/sophis/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tla_95381.php on line 595 Many people feel that death insurance is unnecessary for children, until “something” happens. With the recent rash of school shootings and attempts, along with all other unpredictableness that comes along with life, you can never be so sure that a child may be able to fully live out his or her life. Although Death insurance is usually only obtained for adults to cover expenses in the case of an untimely death, expenses can arise as the result of a child’s death too; such as funeral costs. That’s why it shouldn’t be assumed that death insurance for a child is unnecessary. With Globe Life Insurance, death insurance for a child can be obtained for only $1 for the first three months. After that, an amount based on the child’s age will be calculated as the premium for the remainder of the policy. Coverage will never decrease and the premium will never inc

When Bad Things Happen To Good People
I literally just finished reading a news story about how mortgage defaults are up and the housing market is soft, leading to a lot of homes being auctioned off, and people that can't relocate due to their current homes not selling and companies not paying for relocation like they used to. All this of course leads to other problems like trying to get a new car when you have bad credit or or no credit, or even trying to buy a vehicle after a repossession or bankruptcy. It's something no one wants to go through, but if you have to, there are fast, secure, online applications processes for loans specifically designed with convenience and privacy in mind. Bad Credit Auto Loans for New and Used Cars ensures the experience will be trouble free. When bad things happen to good people it's good know options are out there.

[Journey of Conrad Lim] Things Happen For A Reason
I’ve just got permission from Conrad to use some excerpt from his book. At first, I thought of re-writing his story to make it shorter. However, after thinking for a while, I find that it’s best to quote what he wrote and just write my comments only. After all, it’s his story, not mine. What [...]

When Bad Things Happen To Good Dolls
**Because appending notes to old posts is easier than writing new ones... post-script added below... I was greeted, when I returned home from teaching yesterday, by this apparition: WonderBaby's Holly Hobby doll (a gift from her bad grandma), strapped into a toy stroller and decked out in do-rag and bling (and yes, one mitten and one evening glove. It's cold out, you know.) This, WonderBaby's

I live just off Blackstone Boulevard (GPS coordinates available for GM Black Ops rotary winged aircraft). It's RI's urban highway: two-lanes in each direction with a large, leafy central island (once a streecar route, now joggers' paradise). The Boulevard is also the Mother of All Speed Traps; I'll pay anyone who can drive down that [...]
