Since there's no instruction, i shall just try it out myself. I used two teaspoons of baking soda, mix with warm water and soak it over night. The next day i used a sponge to clean it. Some part can be cleaned easily but some still not able to clean. I think maybe i didn't use enough baking soda. This past week was so very hot and humid. For those of us lucky enough to have our own New York sunroom to retreat to, the heat and humidity was barely noticable. Solar energy comes in a couple of different forms. Most people are familiar with solar panels, they are becoming more and more commonplace on roofs of houses especially if you live in the South-West. Solar panels are based on the principles of photovoltaics where photons excite electrons in silicon crystals. However, there is another path to solar energy and that is through the solar thermal process.
Thermal solar energy is the technologically unexciting way to capture the Sun’s energy with parabolic mirrors, placing a glass tube at the focal point of the light and running liquid through the pipes allowing it to heat up. The heat generated is used to make steam to spin a traditional turbine just like in a conventional coal-fired plant. So, it isn’t anything fancy or technologically advanced, but it works nonetheless. Two projects for 50 MW Solar electric thermal plants in Spain have been announced recently. Many more to come.
Ener-t Global an Israeli company, and Grupo Enhol, a Spanish group, have sealed a deal to develop solar electric thermal plants in Spain (Renewable Energy Magazine). The first one (50 MW) will be built in Badajoz (Spain), as the area has “optimum radiation and climate conditions, which will achieve a greater performance for the plant“. The electricity produced will be able to power the town of Mérida, capital city of the region.
Their agreement includes the creation of a society shared at 50% by both companies, aiming to develop and build plants using parabolic troughs. The total investment will be around 600 million euros.
This piece of news follows the announcement made by IDAE and Iberdrola of the construction of another 50 MW plant in Puertollano, not too far away from Badajoz.

But I put off re-organizing the storage space under the bed, and in the closet. It’s a disaster zone! I also didn’t get my quilt borders cut out. I really was going to work on the storage under the bed, until I opened it and found my large cutting mat had somehow slid UNDER the storage compartment during our last trip, and was all bent out of shape.I did my best to salvage it, but it’s creased beyond repair. I’ll have to see if I can find another in town before I can complete the quilt top.I used the nifty Nissan Thermal cooker again yesterday, I am so impressed with it! While we were in Branson, we had lunch at Cantina Laredo, where they served this fantastic spicy bean soup. I thought I’d try and make something like it. I didn’t come close, but it was delicious anyway. I sa
