Salmon Teriyaki Skewers with Pineapple Recipe
Now that grilling season is officially upon us, I've been experimenting with teriyaki salmon skewers. Last night's version (frozen salmon, canned pineapple) got two thumbs up from the rents, but there were too many leftovers for me to be convinced. Conditioned for politeness, sometimes they are just not willing to be as critical as I'd like. (You can't like everything mom!) Tri

      Grilled Teriyaki Chicken (Gluten Free)
One of Michael's favorite meals is a simple Asian-inspired stir-fry. We usually make this meal fast and frugally using a frozen package of "stir-fry" vegetables, leftover meat from a previous meal, and quick brown rice. We rely on this meal at least twice a month, and for me, it satisfies a craving for foods I used to order at Chinese restaurants in my old gluten filled days. For a new twist on this old favorite of ours, I decided to make a teriyaki marinade for the chicken, which I would later grill instead of adding to the stir-fried vegetables.Grilling the chicken, instead of adding it to the stir-fry, really brought out the flavors of the teriyaki marinade. It also gave the dish a delicious new presentation!I think this marinade would also be excellent on salmon steaks, tofu, or beef!

      Teriyaki Cod
Ai yo! My family has expensive taste buds. My son only likes to eat Cod. Now I realize, so does my daughter! I usually steam or pan fried Cod. Once a while, I will prepare Cod differently. My son is already so picky with food; I don't want him to be also picky with how his food is prepared. Anyway, this is one of my husband's favourite too.Ingredients:Cod Marinade:1 tablespoon Sugar1 tablespoon Mirin1 tablespoon Wine2 tablespoon Soy SauceHow to do it:Mix the marinade.Pour the marinade over the Cod and marinate for at least ½ hour.Dust Cod with corn flour and sauté in pan till lightly burnt. Pour away excess oil.Pour the remaining marinade for the Cod in the pan.Cook till the sauce thickens. (about 6-7 mins).Remove and serve hot. This dish is really nice and tasty. For those who don't like Cod because of the smell and taste will find that the marinade did a very good job covering it.Note:Don't worry if you can't get Mirin. It taste as good without it! Be careful not to burn i
