Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian government has canceled a tender to build telecommunications infrastructure in remote areas, saying neither of the two final bidders met the qualifications, the Information Ministry said Friday."The tender is declared to have failed and the government will re-tender the project," said a statement posted on the ministry's website. The tender initially attracted dozens of participants, but only PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and PT Asia Cellular Satellite made it to the final round. The others either did not qualify to bid or pulled out voluntarily."Telkom will certainly bid again when the government re-tenders the project because we are committed to building telecom infrastructure in remote areas," Eddy Kurnia, Telkom's vice-president for public relations, told Thomson Financial.

The fact that Caledonian MacBrayne is winner of the ferry tender doesn't come as a suprise since they were the only ferry operator left in a complicated and controversial process where several operators could bid on the 24 Clyde and Hebridean routes. It all started a few years ago when the Clyde and Hebridean routes were put out to tender due to European regulations for an open market. Since every ferry company deserves a fair chance a tender document was drawn up and three ferry operators joined this tender, being Calmac, V-Ships and Western Ferries. Capsicum, also known as Bell Pepper, is a good companion for beef in stir-fries. So far, I’ve seen and tried three colours available - green, red and yellow, the latter being the sweetest. With capsicum, you can’t really leave out its other good friend, the onion. A stir-fry with these two ingredients give a good fusion of smell (you’ll either like it or don’t) and taste (sweet in nature). When I eat beef, I usually like them just or slightly undercooked. Over cooking beef with generally make it tough and chewy unless you stew them for long hours, which is another thing altogether. Hence, when I stir-fried this dish, I left the beef for last. Total stir-frying time is about 3 minutes as I prefer the capsicum to remain crunchy. Cook longer if you prefer softer capsicum. Most of all, experiment with this dish to your liking. Gaz de France purchased the documents of four hydrocarbon blocks gone out to tender for exploration and development, announced the representative of Tehran-based office of the French company Wednesday. Mohammadreza Odabaii told PIN the giant company was keen to help Iran produce and refine gas of those fields it had involved in their exploration operations. He revealed that Gaz de France was thinking of meeting its European clients’ need by purchasing Iranian gas. Odabaii added the French company would participate in those Iranian projects that would lead to exports of gas or production of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Gaz de France is seeking to make investments in Iran LNG project’s upstream and downstream sectors by 14 and 7 percent respectively. To this end, the French giant is holding negotiations with the National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGEC). Iran extended the deadline for purchasing the documents and information packages of 17 exploration blocks’ tender for 40 days.
