Recent studies done at the University of Montreal suggest that our natural inclination as toddlers is that of aggression. These findings fly in the face of traditional theory that violence and aggression is a matter of “nurture” not “nature.” Previous to these studies, the theory was that children needed to learn a certain level how to “agress” when in fact they need to learn not to. These theories linked child aggression to parent separation, low parental income and/or mother’s aggressive tendencies.
Understanding this is critical for parents because the belief is that toddlers need to learn to control these tendencies in their preschool years otherwise they believe it is an indicator toward aggressive and violent behavior later in life.

Not many have known about the mild OCD I have and how it affects me. Overly Compulsive Disorder can be serious in some and often doesn't let people lead normal lives. I have been fortunate to gain more and more control over the years of my symptoms.
Ever since I could remember I have been a perfectionist, in the ultimate sense of the word. If anything under my control was out of order or misplaced, it felt extremely awkward. It wasn't until I was 17 that I discovered I had mild OCD. It made complete sense.
I used to be the kind of person that would repeat an action or redo something over and over until it was just right. You could just imagine how tedious a job I did at cleaning my home or how valued I was in my flight in the military. I also had to do a lot of things a certain way. Showering had an order, eating had an order, taking things out of my backpack had an order, and absolutely..
So I wanted to touch on the subject of teams breaking down film and figuring out an oppenents tendencies. I am all for breaking down film and figuring out what is going to happen and even get to the point predicting what will happen in the football game, but where do you draw the line as a coach and begin to just prepare for the game. There are so many factors that dictate a win or loss such as injuries, suspensions, weather, overall health of the team, etc. that how much time spent on studying your opponent should be somewhere in the middle or to the bottom of the priority list. Breaking down film and figuring out what your are going against in the coming week(s) is very important, but i have been on staffs where that’s what they eat breath and sleep. Instead they should be focusing on the development of their team and preparing them in on the football field to understand the overall game rather the situations. Mum and Miv went off shopping in Carlisle early today.I went to work with Uncle Jim.Uncle Jim is a psychopath.I thought a Park Rangers job would be driving around all day drinking cups of tea in cosy farmhouse kitchens and eating generous slices of cake made by ruddy-faced farmer's wives while pet lambs lay their sad woolly heads in your lap.Not so!While normal people park their cars in a car park and take the lift to work, Uncle Jim parks his National Park Rangers Landrover at the bottom of a mountain and walks for miles and miles up it carrying his tools over his shoulder like one of the seven dwarfs. He then spends all day digging holes on the side of the windswept mountain, exposed to all the elements, just so he can drag boulders around to put in the holes. For my birthday this year my wife bought me a shirt and some shoes. I really like it when my wife picks out clothes for me, since it cuts down on the shopping for me. This year, and especially over the past few years, my wife has begun bringing home some clothes that I really do like; but would never intentionally purchase for myself.
