Germany’s Deutsche Telekom is looking into a possible bid for US mobile provider Sprint Nextel who has been losing money. Sprint, the number three US mobile provider, if purchased by Deutsche Telekom, would be allied to Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile USA affiliate and would become a major rival for AT&T who is the US number one wireless provider. Sprint may be a good deal because of the weak dollar against the euro. Sprint’s 2007 losses were 30 billion dollars in exceptional costs relating to its acquisition of Nextel. As a result, Sprint suspended indefinitely dividend payments the end of February. 

Deutsche Telekom AG is weighing a bid to acquire Sprint Nextel Corp. that could catapult the German telecommunications giant's wireless arm, T-Mobile USA, to the No. 1 position in the U.S., according to people familiar with the matter. Deutsche Telekom's deliberations are at a preliminary stage and management may very well turn away, these people cautioned. If a bid is launched for Sprint Nextel, which has a stock-market capitalization of $22 billion and is the No. 3 player in the U.S. wireless market, it could still be weeks, or even months, away, they added. The potential bid is being considered as the former German monopoly scouts for acquisitions in countries outside the German market, where it has seen its revenue shrink in recent years amid rising competition and falling prices. I checked my mail box just now, the real mail box lar, not the email mail box. hehe.. Saw the telekom bill, opened up, and found it's a bit different. How different? Well, normally my telekom bill is kind of simple, why? becos i basically used the phone for streaymx only. I don't use the phone to call or to receive. So every month's bill is definitely RM27.30.But this month's bill, wahseh.. RM300++!!! WHAT??!! I further read the 3 pages long statement, i saw RM 66, ei, then only i realized they've merged the telekom bill with the tmnet's bill. okie, but it shouldn't be RM300++ also what. RM66 + RM 27.30 != RM300+, simple calculation i still know how to calculate one...I read further and only found out that they stated there my last month's tmnet's bill not paid. Cannot be what, i remembered i paid using maybank2u. Geçtiğimiz hafta Türk Telekom çalışanlarının başlattığı grev ile ilgili Türkiye’nin önde gelen 13 Bilişim STK’sı bir basın bildirisi yayınladı. Bildiride ilk vurgulanan argüman, bu grevin firma tarihinde gerçekleştirilen ilk grev olduğuydu. Grevin ilk günü yaşanılan kesintilerin, bir çok işin aksamasına ve güvenliğin zayıflamasına sebep olduğu belirtildi. Buradan çıkan sonuç; Telekom, ADSL altyapısının güvenliğini artıracak. It was frustrating that my house’s phone line was down for the past few weeks. It wasn’t hurting me badly until recently when I was on leave on Friday. I had so much that I wanted to blog about, but being unable to access the web upsets me! Lodged complaints to Telekom also no use. They only said they will attend/fix it asap - but ‘asap’ is just the word they use - without committing any day/time! Until now, it is still not fixed. Paying monthly fee for my Streamyx and phoneline, not receiving the services that I am entitled to.
