      Satan Created Teething
Yesterday and today have been lovely. Really. On Sunday, Braden kept acting intensely clingy and cranky. You’d have thought someone had convinced him that if he acted as much like he was my ill-tempered, conjoined twin as was humanly possible, he’d win a bale of cotton candy. After several situations in which he melted down in a manner unlike him, I decided he must be having a teething session.

Is Infant Teething A Big Problem For Your Child!
Infant teething is the process of starting infant’s teeth to grow in sequentially. WFMW: Teething Remedy
Our son started teething at 5 months and is still going strong at 12 months with his eye-teeth making their grand debut.Needless to say, this teething phase has caused much drooling, discomfort and crankiness (for all parties involved). We tried the standard remedies (frozen rings, frozen cloths, teething rings, gels, ...) with limited success.Alas, we found the Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder. We put frozen fruit, ice chips and even Popsicle's into the mesh feeder and let him suck on it. He loves it and based on his sudden mood change, it diminishes his discomfort. You can also put any type of food into this feeder for an infant to feed on to reduce the risk of choking. It's great to take along to restaurants for this purpose. We purchased ours at Target. There are 2 feeders in a package costing roughly $5.It Works For Me!Click here to subscribe to the What Works For Us feed.

      Teething Pains
I think Snuggle Bug is working on getting his 2 year molars in. He's been saying "mouth hurt" and sticking his fingers in his mouth. He's also been running low grade fevers off and on. Considering he'll be turning 3 in December, I'd say it's about time these molars come in!It's been a while since we've had to witness Snuggle Bug in pain due to teething and these last 3 nights have been tough. He wakes up frequently throughout the night, crying out in pain. We go in and try to comfort him the best we can, but it's not easy.Last night I picked up my 28 lb. little boy and paced the wooden floors of his room with him in my arms as he snuggled up against my chest and whimpered in pain. I did the bounce-sway-shhhh-shhhh-shhh walk with him for several minutes, just like I used to do when he was teething as a baby, until he had fell back to sleep in my arms.I hate to see him in pain like this and I'm not sure what's the best brand of medicine out there for his age to help sooth his

Bead Jewelry Idea: Amber Teething Necklaces
Amber Teething Necklaces are difficult to make, so you might be better off buying one such as this beautiful piece from Amberizon. I was clued into this great bead jewelry idea by a friend who has an infant son who is going through a tough patch with his new teeth coming in. My friend had tried everything to soothe the pain and calm the poor thing but finally found something amazing that she swears works: Amber Teething Necklaces! These teething necklaces aren’t made for chewing, but rather, they’re usually made to be worn by the mother while the child is carried against the mother. There are some versions of the amber teething necklace that are meant to be worn by the child, but I would think you’d have to be very careful about that. If the necklaces were to be worn by babies the child should only wear it when being supervises (never while sleeping) and the clasp would have to be a “break away” clasp to prevent any sort of accidental pulling or ch

      Baby Teething Tips
Give your baby a mild pain reliever that is labeled for his or her specific age. For example, acetaminophen or ibuprofen may help relieve your baby's discomfort. Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than 20, because it has been linked to Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious disease. Use a clean finger (or cold teething ring) to gently rub your baby's gum for about 2 minutes at a time. Many babies find this comforting, although they may objection at first. Give safe objects for your baby to chew on, such as teething rings. Source : WebMD Medical Reference

Teething, Tiling And Other Random Adventures...
I know my posts have been short lately... finding time to think has been getting harder and harder. I have been helping super hubby lay tile, holding a teething baby 24/7, working on some projects at church as well as some other projects... and other projects does NOT include cleaning and painting my OWN house. Which I really want to do.Full plate? I think YES.So... today I am trying to get Elijah to take a nap so I can grout the tile... anyone know how to grout? ha ha ha... ya... me either. But first I have to wash all Elijah's sheets and blankets thanks to a blow out this morning. A blow out in a CRUISER! The horror. And also... Elijah is officially to big for the infant car seat... so we had to move him into this.... Sniff. They grow up so fast. Time for another baby!! lol.Look at me mama... I'm such a big boy!!http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/tmndsrhjhn_photos/6.jpg

      Teething, Hyland Teething Tablets
Teething. My son has done remarkably well dealing with his teething. With the first few teeth he got, several times he woke up crying with a fever. Several other times he would just wake up in hysterics. The majority of the time though he would wake up crying, but would then go right back to sleep. When he would wake up with a fever, I would give him Children's Tylenol every 4 hours for 24 hours. That was usually enough to get rid of the fever and get him back to normal. For the times he didn't have a fever, but was in pain, I would give him 2 Hyland teething tablets. They are homeopathic tablets and are amazing. I don't know if they taste bad or what, but it was always such a struggle to put them in my son's mouth. Once they were in his mouth, he would scream even worse. I had serious doubts the first time I gave them to him. Luckily they dissolve very quickly. 5 minutes after taking the teething tablets, my son would be back to normal. It was really amazing to watch the transformat

Drooling and Shrieking and Teething, Oh, My!
Teething babies: for months on end, they have trouble sleeping (so the whole house does, too); shriek in pain; and produce enough drool to fill a wading pool and enough laundry to generate an extra load every couple of days. Add possible fever and diarrhea to that list, and diaper rash. It’s misery for all involved. The “normal” remedies don’t work too well: gels taste nasty and can be dangerous because they can numb the tongue and back of the throat when swallowed; and you can’t tell if you’re putting it on the sore spot anyhow. Teething rings only work well for the front teeth. Frozen carrots or ice in cloth can become choking hazards. And none of them help the teeth erupt faster. So with Lark, when she started teething, we were having MUCH worse problems than with the first two. No one was getting sleep; we couldn’t keep up with the clothes she was soaking with drool (or the bibs); she had a bad rash and was about as reactive as she c

      Toddler Teething Problems
OUR TODDLER OF THE WEEK KARI AASLAND Childs name: Kari Aasland Loves to: Chase the dog with her toy stroller Hates to: Have her teeth brushed Favorite Toy: Anything Elmo Best Toddler Tip From Mom: Go with the flow…know when to give a little and when to take a stand…in other words, choose your battles and you will both be happier. TODDLER TEETHING PROBLEMS First and foremost, for those of you who have children who cut teeth quicker and easier than Justin Timberlake changes girlfriends, I envy you. I also need you to pick out my next lottery numbers, because apparently you are one of the luckiest people on the planet. The rest of us are tired of feeling helpless when our little ones are uncomfortable, tired of trying to choose between thousands of “possible” teething medicines, and just plain tired overall. The doctors, the books, and the experts say there is no direct correlation between teething and having a runny nose, diarrhea, or slight fever. As all

      Theo's Teething Trouble
Signed amongst a scrum of media attention, for a hefty transfer fee and dubbed the “next Henry”, young Theo Walcott’s introduction into Premiership football has certainly been a high-profile one. Some penetrating substitute cameos at the start of the season coupled with a handful of excellent U21 appearances and goals (most noticeably his brace against Germany) only served to increase the ferocity and desperation surrounding Walcott to near fever-pitch levels. There’s no doubting that Walcott’s performances have dropped over the past 4 or 5 games, in fact amongst the chorus of praise aimed at Wenger’s young Carling Cup stars such as Fabregas, Denilson and Diaby, a note of criticism and frustration has hovered over Walcott. Lacklustre against Liverpool and mediocre against Spurs, Walcott is perhaps the only players to emerge from the recent Carling Cup games that hasn’t enhanced their reputation. I believe that this point was made imp
