Tech News: Businesses get to "downgrade" to XP, but not individual consumers
The XP/Vista debate is a constant issue I have to deal with at work, especially over this past summer. When a new OS comes out, businesses usually wait a year or so before adopting the new one. According to the news.com article "The XP alternative for Vista PCs," businesses who purchased PCs with Vista on them can now "downgrade" back to XP, but this offer only applies to Windows Vista Business and Ultimate versions. This is being offered via the computers manufacturers, who will ship the computers with Vista installed but include the XP installation CDs.But there is demand for XP among businesses and consumers, due to "Vista's hefty graphics and memory needs," not to mention having to re-orient yourself to getting used to Vista (Why was it necessary to rename everything in the Control Panel? Why does it ask me if I'm sure I want to run an application every time?).As far as the general public, there's no word about such an option and there probably won't be. But if you think you ca

      My: Tech News is finished
I have made over one hundred posts these last few months, trying to keep you current on all the tech news stories that have come up. Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to compete with larger news sites which have technology news writers that work full time. However, My: Tech News was not a total loss. I completed my original goal of making one hundred dollars through Google's Adsense Program. (It really wasn't too hard either. I just wrote the stories and the money steadily flowed in. If you still haven't made an adsense account, I encourage you to do so. You can click the link on my site right above this post.) I will most likely create a new blog in the near future which will be more specific so it will be easier for me to stay updated on the news. I want to thank all of you who are reading this right now, you made My: Tech News last as long as it did. I will continue to leave this site here. It is still possible to click on one of the links on my site. Eventually, I am going

My: Tech News Blog gets its own domain!!!
I just purchased a domain name using 1&1! My:Tech News Blog, formerly located at mytechnewsblog.blogspot.com will now be at mytechnews.net. I know, its much easier to type the latter. I am just waiting for all the domain settings to go through and then I will change the domain. Don't worry though, both addresses will still get you here. I wasn't going to purchase one, until I knew if this blog would generate any revenue. I just checked my Google Adsense account and I have made a few dollars so I figured I could spend $5.99 on a domain. Quite a deal if you ask me. Thanks to all you clickers and PayPal-donaters for funding my domain name. Keep on reading.

Changes to My: Tech News Blog
I have made some changes to my blog. I have removed the adsense ads and replaced them with referrals. I have found that the referrals are doing better than anything else and to be honest, they look more professional on my blog. If any My: Tech News Blog readers out there do not have Firefox or Google pack you should definitely download them. You can find them on the right of my blog. Also if you are interested in adding adsense to your blog, there is a link at the bottom of this page. It is a really great program and makes it simple to pickup some spare cash and earn compensation for your time spent blogging. If anyone needs help with any of these or would like to start a new blog I am available to offer help. Again, please download Firefox and Google pack from those links on the right, it is a chance for you to get great software for FREE and to help my blog.
