      Tarot card
Stole this from A Feel Good Production:You are TemperanceTime. Ages. Transformation. Involuntary changeTemperance is another card of aspiration, but also of much change. It often represents complex situations. Positively, you can harmonize contrary forces.Temperance is, on a surface level, about "tempering." The original pouring from cup to cup might have been about cutting wine with water. So this is a card about moderation. There is, however, another angle to the card, that of merging seemingly impossible opposites. Sagittarius, the centaur, merges beast and man into a unique creature. And then there is the bow and arrow, one moving, one stationary, working together to point the way. Temperance may be, at first glance, a warning for you to "temper" your behavior, to cut your wine with water. But it may also be a reminder to that seemingly irreconcilable opposites may not be irreconcilable at all. Belief that fiery red and watery blue cannot be

Tarot Card of the Day - The Hanged Man
When I started this blog I swore that I would never do a tarot card of the day post. Ironically, here I am. I have used the Celtic Dragon Tarot exclusively since it's release in 1999. Today in the mail the Tarot of the Cat People arrived.I wanted this deck two weeks ago. I had just finished laying out a spread for my husband when the cat came over and laid across the cards. She does this every time I I lay out a tarot spread. It's as if she is attracted to the cards. After I removed her my daughters cat did the same thing. I found myself wondering if the cats would be more or less attracted to tarot cards with cats on them. After calling every bookstore I could think of in three counties I broke down and visited eBay. Whatever IT is, you can find it there. I found the cards but that meant I had to wait for them. I wanted to do my experiment then. I know, it's not a very scientific experiment and it's an odd reason to justify purchasing a second deck of tarot cards tha

Tarot Card of the Day - The Fool
Today I am looking at The Fool. I have always questioned if he really is a fool. Tarot of the Northern Shadows is another deck that I own but do not use all that often. It pictures the fool as sort of a traditional court jester about to step on a banana skin. Classic slapstick there. Is that who The Fool really is? Is that really the archetype that he represents?Once again, the Celtic Dragon and The Tarot of the Cat People show two remarkably different pictures. The imagery of the Tarot of the Cat People is a variation on the theme set by the Rider-Wait deck of someone venturing off unawares. In the Rider-Waite deck The Fool is accompanied by a dog who goes along with him joyfully. I can not look at The Fool in the Tarot of the Cat People without thinking that the cat is biting him on the ankle. That is rather uncat like Cats are more inclined to scratch than bite, and a cat bite is very painful. This guy doesn't seem to notice it though. He must be wearing thick boots or p
