El restaurante Tantra es un representante de la poco conocida comida mongola. Ocupa el espacio de una casa de dos pisos transformada, en una tranquila calle del barrio de Vila Olimpia. El comedor está dividido en dos grandes espacios, uno en torno a la plancha en la que se preparan las comidas, y otro en el jardín de atrás de la casa.
Para el que no ha probado antes el sistema de grill mongol, el mayor atractivo del restaurante reside en la forma de elaborar la comida. Es el propio comensal el que selecciona los ingredientes de su plato. Con un cuenco en la mano, se encamina a dos mesas en la que está dispuesta una sucesión interminable de ingredientes. Por un lado, las carnes y pescados: pollo, cerdo, diferentes cortes de la vaca, atún, gambas. Por otro lado, salsas, especias y condimentos que no se acaban nunca.
