You can already buy tanks that are totally see-through, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the fish.

While I was at the Long Beach Aquarium, this one tank caught my eye. We’re so used to having the same type of tanks that when you see something unique like a theme tank (didn’t someone have a lego tank before?), it’s pretty refreshing.
So this tank was to mimic an underwater environment at the pier. A great idea if you are looking in having a circular tank - just hide all the equipment in the middle so the fishes swim in circles would be cool).

I cleaned my fish tanks today, without prompting from C. How cool is that!? See, I'm capable of amazing things when I'm given room to grow. Now I can have the lights on in the tanks and not feel embarrassed. For the record, we have two tanks. One is a 12 gallon tank with two small angelfish, and one is a 30 gallon with 4 small ryukin goldfish. I'm having quite the algae problem. I've tried different types of algae-fighting chemicals, but I think that the tanks get too much sun, and it just builds up. We've tried having plecostomuses, but it's hard to find big ones, and the small ones are quite fragile and die quite readily. I'm going to look into snails to see if they can help. Social-entrepreneur Mary Fanaro, created a line of cotton tees and tanks, to raise money for a charity that seeks to end poverty by 2025 in parts of Africa.
