The Brooklyn-based designer unveiled three new pieces made from sustainable materials at the recent ICFF in NYC - two storage cabinets, Ori and Sachi, and Curve, a neat little wall-mounted cat bed made from bamboo plywood. Not up on the site yet (hurry, Akemi!), but check out her other work. Very nice.

As I continue with interviews for my Embracing SUCCESS series, I'm delighted to have one with Patrice Tanaka , Co-chair and Chief Creative Officer of CRT/tanaka. Patrice is one of those inspirational people that brings sunshine to all she encounters. She's brought her spirit into her company, which greatly benefits her clients. I hope that her words motivate you the way they motivated me.Interview with Patrice TanakaPatrice Tanaka was raised in Hawaii, where she started her career as a journalist. But she always wanted to live in NYC, and happily moved there, with no job. She's always had a positive spirit that supported her goals and enabled her to make a solid impact on the world of PR. Even then, Patrice had strong faith that her expectations would come to fruition. And they did.Patrice

I just wish we could get some Reina Tanaka nude

Jack was completely excluded from this episode (can you believe it?).Instead, we had a Hurley-centric episode and learned why he was in Australia. (I always wondered what brought him there!) I think his flashbacks are interesting because his connection to the numbers and the supposed "curse". I thought it was sweet to see his conversation with dead-Libby and I really wish TPTB would share more on their connection pre-island!If last week's episode object was Jack's tattoo(s), this week's focus was on cars.
