Freeform Fridays are a new experiment on the Wardman Wire:
Im wondering about inventing Freeform Fridays, where I will give a platform to anyone with something interesting to say - a sort of virtual Speakers Corner. In my mind there needs to be somewhere on the blog which is relatively unstructured, to be a total change from the quite tightly timetabled nature of the rest of the week.
Id see that as an opportunity for young or new bloggers to address a slightly wider audience - one of my priorities for asking people to write columns has been to look for good new writers, who would like the opportunity to write for a different audience or in a different style.
Id like to see articles about eclectic political subjects on Fridays - for example how the mistresses of Charles II have an impact o
Thursday - Thanksgiving and the start of my trip. I got picked up at my house by the airport shuttle with one couple already on board. I was unsure how busy the airport would be, so I made sure I arrived early. It was the most deserted I have ever seen an airport. I made it through check-in and security in twenty minutes. I then sat around for 2 hours waiting for the first leg of my flight
I've decided to take the rest of the month off from blogging. There's nothing going on. I know people stop blogging for a while because "something big" is happen. There's nothing like that. The problem is that whenever I get on the Internet to blog, I end up wasting a lot of time. So I want to step back, mortifying my addition to the Internet, and focus on the more essential things in life.See you in November.Maybe.
Első szólóalbuma az 1975-ben megjelent Taking Off .A lemez felvételein közreműködő zenészek:David Sanborn : alto saxophoneMichael Brecker : tenor saxophoneRandy Brecker : trumpetHoward Johnson : baritone saxophone, tubaTom Malone : tromboneSteve Khan : electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric 12-string guitarBuzzy Feiten : electrin guitarJoe Beck : electric guitar on 4Don Grolnick : acoustic piano, Fender Rhodes, clavinetWill Lee : bassChris Parker : drumsRick Marott
I am taking off into the skies again. This time, I am jetting to Hong Kong. I am responsible for managing all marketing and branding activities for our HK office as well, but did not have the opportunity yet to meet the team there since I started my new job.Well, today's the day. My flight's in 5 hours time.I am looking forward to it, 'cos I have not been to HK for quite a long time. I miss the food most. Heard it's summer sale season over there right now, so though shopping's not my favourite cup of tea, I may just do it for the sake of it. Grab some nice dresses for work since I am there. The TV brought some disturbing news though. Typhoons invaded HK last week and left more than 30,000 people stranded at the airport. Got some folks worried for me there for a moment, but I am sure everything should be fine now.I will be back on Aug 15 - and I know my absence will be sorely missed (haha..). Just keep me in your prayers and before you knew it, I shall be back to haunt you.Meanwhile,
Ok so you've put on a few extra carbons after the past year. Took one too many flights there, took one too many trips to the store and left the lights on too much. Global warming is keeping you up at night. What to do?
As with any diet we all want easy fast and big impact items to get those carbons off fast.
Here is my top 5 list:
Fly less - If you travel for work ask if there is a way to do a
