Well, we did it! We went for a swim, and it’s a good thing we did - today’s the last day that the pool is open! All the kids go back to school on Monday, including the lifeguards, so I guess that’s it for the season. So glad we went! And really, I was shocked to see how few people were there. Half a dozen, tops. Unbelievable!
Tomorrow will be a different story. I met a lady there who told me there’s a community picnic and barbecue there tomorrow, and the pool will be CRAZY busy then. We won’t be attempting the pool tomorrow!
The kids had fun. Now we’re back home, having a late lunch of peanut butter and honey sandwiches, yogurt, and giant glasses of ice water! Bring ooooon the naps.
