L’autre nouvelle cinéma du jour et mouvement inattendu de Disney, c’est d’avoir engagé Tim Burton pour des projets d’animation en 3D (dans le domaine on se souvient de son “Etrange noël de mr Jack” (photo) et “Les noces funèbres”, films joyeux malgré le côté clair de lune).
D’abord, il pourra réaliser une version longue de son court métrage de 1984 “”Frankenweenie” (en stop motion -c’est à dire avec des marionettes image par image-), l’histoire d’un chien mort-vivant, pour enchaîner sur l’adaptation 3d du monde d’Alice au pays des merveilles, classique intemporel de Disney.

I’m sure you already know about Tim Burton’s classic gothic movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it’s Halloween today, so it’s pretty much required viewing. As such, I thought it might be something interesting to talk about. Tim Burton has made many other great gothic film like Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride, but I feel none of them were quite as fantastic as The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The movie emulates the Disney musical format in a way, but with a dark and gothic twist visually. I found it made the movie very artistically appealing and set it apart from other similarly themed films–aside from Corpse Bride that is, which was basically just a rehash of it’s animation style because the devoted fans just wouldn’t let it end with just one movie. The movie makes use of a sort of claymation appearance, which is a very uncommon animation style. Because of this it allowed a more ‘real’ look to it while remaining surreal
Tim Burton is rumoured to be returning to stop animation for the third time. It seems Burton is planning a full-length remake of his short film Frankenweenie. If you’re not familiar with Frankenweenie, we may have to bring you up to speed.
Available on the Nightmare Before Christmas DVD, Frankenweenie is a loose-retelling of the Frankenstein story in which young Victor’s dog, Weenie, is run over only to be resurrected by his master. The Frankendog soon becomes the neighbourhood terror, but Victor desperately tries to convince them that he’s still just his loveable pet.
The original short was live-action and just 29 minutes long. In order to make the film work on the big-screen, there would need to be some major work involved. Then again, I’m sure Burton would be up to it!

It was the first official day of Comic-Con 2007 and they had something special to show us from the start, and that is the official movie poster of Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd. This movie has so much hype surrounding it, mostly because Johnny Depp will be singing in it.
It is hard to say what the movie will be like, but with Tim and Johnny teaming up once more it is sure to be something special. Judging by the movie poster, Sweeney Todd could very well be Burton’s best work yet.

No había experimentado con este director tal cantidad de sensaciones gratificantes desde la genial “Eduardo manostijeras”.Narra la extraordinaria y mágica vida de Edward Bloom, un padre que no se cansa de contar a todo el mundo las fantásticas historias que ha vivido, y sobre todo a su hijo, que cansado de ellas, y de que su padre no hablase nunca en serio, se propone averiguar hasta que punto esas historias son reales, teniendo que encajar lo mejor posible, tanto lo real como lo imaginario de lo que va descubriendo. Burton alterna constantemente, con una sensibilidad y armonía casi perfectas, entre la realidad y la fantasía, con un alarde visual y un sinfín de peculiares personajes extraordinarios. Top director Tim Burton is in talks with studio bosses, about a possibility of making a movie about shock rock singer Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese his estranged wife. Burton has said that he finds everything about the couples life fascinating, and how great it would be of he did have a chance to make a movie about them.
One quote that director Tim Burton had said was “I’m fascinated by Dita and Marilyn. They’re like a living Brothers Grimm fairytale.” The couple had split earlier this year, and had a rollercoaster marriage with each other.
