Currently Thailand is hosting the 5th World Film Festival of Bangkok and as part of that there is a tribute to Taiwanese actress and director Sylvia Chang. I think Tim The Lame-iac Sylvia is lame. Why? This loss to Nogueira is a prime example of why Sylvia is lame. He could possibly have the heavyweight belt all to himself to parade around on his scooter and M-16 in remote areas of Midwest while listening to snappy honky-tonk country songs. Like in his numerous prior outings in UFC he was fighting a hurt fighter and couldn't not finish him no matter what. It was like that against and injured and hurt Arlovski, against a hurt Vera and again last night against a hurt Nogueira. Only this time it was Sylvia who hurt Nogueira, so it should have been painfully obvious to him that he should just go in for the kill instead of just flailing his arms. Can't say I'm too excited for the fight, you know, being that Nogueira isn't fighting Randy Couture and because Randy's was substituted by incredibly boring "fighting not to lose" Tim Sylvia. I'm mildly interested in seeing Nogueira because of all his past glory, durability and experience in taking out a few giants like Semmy Schilt, Bob Sapp and Zuluzinho. Earlier today we posted a video of Tim Sylvia talking about his upcoming UFC 77 fight against Brandon Vera. Now let’s hear Brandon Vera’s take on the upcoming fight (note, the video was shot before Randy’s Exit from the UFC). Brandon was very humble during the interview. Many kids in England in the 50’s clamored together and had their eyes glued to the likes of Fireball XL5 and a whole barrage of TV shows created by the duo till their apex creation Space 1999. They put out some serious science fiction ideas with their marionettes with their signature strings and stiff character presentation, but we all forgot that with the strong stories and fun escapism. The past year has without a doubt been the year of the upset in MMA. Many of our UFC heros proved to be human after all. The whole Pat Miletich Fighting Systems /Ohio Crew dropped from the top. Rich Franklin was defeated by Anderson Silva, Matt Hughes was defeated by Georges St. Pierre, Tim Sylvia was beaten down by Randy Couture. Taking things even further George St. Pierre was dominated by Matt Serra and Mirko Crocop was knocked out by Gabriel Gonzaga. This video pretty much sums it up in 20 full minutes! Check it out.
