Here’s where I start getting hate mail: there isn’t one producer alive who is on the top of most people’s lists when they start rattling off their favorite emcees, although Eminem and Nas both are to be reckoned with behind the beats, not to mention folks like Black Milk, Q-Tip, and the ubiquitous Kanyeezee. I never heard someone say that Timbaland had this ill ass punch-line on “Lobster & Scrimp.” I also never heard anyone say that Quik, Pete Rock, Hi Tek or even the great Dr. Dre are incredibly dope emcees, despite the fact that there aren’t very many producers out there who can compare to their high levels of work. Last night Swizz Beats held his album release party for One Band Man. The venue hired an artist for the night to do his thing on the spot. Dude is serious with that paint brush. It was all done to cater Swizz Beats fascination with the art world...great way to set the mood. First up to show up at the party were Angela & Vanessa Simmons. And yes, Angela changed her ensemble...very cute by the way.As the ladies worked the red carpet. I shouted out to Angela causing her to look my way and asked her "What's going with you and Bow Wow?" She smiled and replied "Nothing!" Now from the looks of prior event at Solange's party, Angela and Bow Wow, I take it, are nothing more than just friends. This is the first track off of the upcoming Swizz Beats album ‘One man band man‘ out August 21st that I dig so far, I had high hopes for the brotha Swizz after my persistent advocation of his last album, “Presents G.H.E.T.T.O Stories” which is a unacknowledged classic. But both of his singles (’its me snitches‘ & ‘Money in the bank‘) seemed to have been well… Haphazardly thrown together? Yea thats sounds about right, I have faith in the man abilities, but it appears hes compromising to for the radio, not a good look…

But he assures us that unlike Timbo's album, his will not contain many collaborations, he says his fans want to hear some real solo material, not just his production.I sort of agree with Swizzy, but Tim's album was him doing what he does best & it is so good he can be forgiven for anything.
