Dont get your conclusions clear yet, i have a few reasons (theyre good ones too!) why i finally changed to adsense.Layout compatibility is bad - This is one of the first things that i noticed while using bidvertiser. The Ads doesnt integrate with my layout. Or another for that matter. You know, the best way to earn more with pay-per-click ads is to not make them look like ads at all. This is pretty difficult thing to consider when using bidvertiser. Site navigation is below average - One needs to spend too much precious time spent on their site to configure ad settings. Once you want to re-do your ad configs, you have to go back to the main window and open 3-4 more windows to get the effect that you really want. Well, let me say it bluntly. . . Today I finally switched my blog to beta after the link to switch is available. After switching since I kept the old template unchanged, because of this the only change I could see is an improved Navbar, nothing else seemed to change. I have other beta blog with the new template that looks very cool, I wanted to upgrade this blog’s template to a new one too, so that I can organize my posts by putting labels for each posts and separate them into different categories. But my old template had too many customizations that won’t work well in new templates, especially putting the ads right after the posts, if I put the ad codes right after the post body the scripts between will be gone. I have to hang on until beta improves more before using new template.I liked the new Navbar very much, now on its right side you can see your email, make new post and customize your blog. The Navbar’s codes are also friendlier for the search engines and other content targeting programs like
Phew and it didn't break!!!After saving my old template to a word document so that I could quickly grab any HTML/JavaScript that did not transfer to the beta version, I am now up and running. Gee it only took seconds to happen with very little to do afterwards. The buttons plus my counter were the only items that did not move to the beta version.I am using a different template to my original one and now all colours are consistent across my blogs. I did tone down the colour of the links as they were very strong on the black background. Also I didn't want the links competing with my images.I have tagged/labeled some of my threads. More will be done with time. I would imagine there is going to be quite a few updated threads showing up in Bloglines from tagging and I apologise for that but will make it so much easier for visitors to browse my blog.
