Bueno, aqui os dejo otro pequeñísimo test de la gaviota y una muestra de su movimiento a grandes rasgos. Aún hay que pulir una serie de detallitos respecto a ciertas deformaciones, sobre todo de las patas y del cuello, pero estoy razonablemente satisfecho con el resultado. Con este mini trailer podreis oir tambien un poco de música de mi propia cosecha. Ya sabreis que la banda sonora del cortometraje correrá tambien de mi cuenta. Asi adquiero experiencia componiendo para cine y tengo música original para las aventuras de Niko. Además, que me apetece un montón volver a darle a los teclados. I'm not a fan of Fantastic Four and never was. I saw the first movie on TV many years after it had already gone through theaters and made its run on DVD. The first film was, in a lot of ways, a poor excuse for a superhero movie and when I found out they were making a second, and saw the pictures of the Silver Surfer, I was prepared for ultimate suckage.Having said that, I can now say I was at least partially proven wrong on this film. Fantastic Four 2 is loads better than the first film. Where the first film failed, this one got it right. There is actually a progressive plot. Bueno, la animación del escenario, la playa donde Niko y sus amigas gaviotas se desenvolverán, está acabada con gran satisfacción por mi parte. Queda mostrar las palmeras que hay en las colinas, pero eso será más adelante y formará parte de la fase de renderizado del corto, casi al final del proceso.Conseguido el efecto de arena mojada, el movimiento del agua, la espuma y lo que más me traia de cabeza, hacer coincidir la linea del agua con la zona mojada para obtener un efecto más realista. El resto de objetivos, todos ellos relacionados con el personaje principal, esperó acabarlos entre hoy y el fin de semana, con promesa de postear los resultados el domingo a más tardar.

Bueno, al final me demoré un poco con los posters teaser de mi corto, pues tenia pensado dejarlos hechos antes de Semana Santa, pero aqui los teneis acabaditos a pesar del ligero retraso. He manipulado un poco el render del primer poster, suavizando manchas siguiendo la sugerencia de Fenris y difuminando el reflejo de Niko, tal y como me indicó muy acertadamente el sr. Eduardo Ocaña. Como añadido, he hecho un poster para la otra gran protagonista de mi corto, la gaviota (o gaviotas) que pueblan la playa donde transcurse la historia. En realidad, esto de los posters son solo pequeños detalles dentro de lo que es la producción total, más bien accesorios, pero que me ayudan a verlo más globalmente. Ni que decir tiene que espero algún comentario por parte de ambos para, si es preciso,

He decidido separar los post que contienen avances de mi cortometraje respecto de las demás categorías del blog, creo que es lo más conveniente. En un futuro, me gustaría, una vez concluido el corto, crear una página web exclusiva para ello y dejar este blog para mis demás movidas, pero de momento aqui es donde podreis ver lo que se va cociendo. Lo teneis todo en el menu "Niko The Surfer". Es el momento de hacer ese banner y ese poster teaser, luego os cuento.
Despues de mucha prueba y error, os traigo la animación definitiva de la playa y el plano de cámara que usaré más un segundo video con movimiento de la misma para ver las cosas con un poco más de detalle. La idea esta en mostrar las aguas calmas calmas de la playa, que es el escenario donde transcurren las aventuras de mi desdichado surfista, Niko. Solucionados algunos problemas de poligonización en la superficie, mejorado el tiempo de render (de 16 horas por 400 frames, a poco más de 3) al eliminar el bump del material, conseguido el efecto de orilla mojada en la zona donde las aguas bañan la orilla, mejora de la espuma y una mejora sustancial de la iluminación con la inclusión de la esfera del sol, más color azul verdoso para el agua y un toque de smoke en la superficie para

Let me start with the Silver Surfer himself. I like him. He’s one of the not-so-bad-guy that look good and he definitely got style. And the way he handled Johnny Storm was so cool.Ok, compare to the first Fantastic 4 movie, I’d say this one is way better. El sábado que pasó estuve en el cine, estuve viendo “Piratas en el Caribe 3” y la verdad que me quedé media hora dormida .. no sé pero pienso que para mi gusto estuvo un poco aburrida, no pretendo ser crítico de cine ni mucho menos, pero creo que abusaron del ironismo o la comedia entre escenas que supuestamente eran peligrosas en su accionar. the whole time i am sitting there i am thinking “who came up with this dialog”? the movie was obviously meant to satisfy the viewers craving for comic book characters doing neat comic book stuff- the words and in-between action scenes were just kind of like “filler”, like you fill a cardboard box full of newspapers so that your china stays intact when you are moving- who cares what kind of newspaper it is just as long as it works?
the silver surfer was the coolest guy on the planet as far as the special effects and his powers and all. since i never read the comics i was a little confused about where his surfboard actually came from- but i am not interested enough to browse the internet just to find out.
well, at least i got to eat nachos. when it comes down to it, the nachos are the primary reason i even go to the movies.

Wait for video for this one. It was not worth seeing in the theater. Sure it was entertaining but just not as good as the first movie and that one wasn't spectacular either.

My job as a carer for the mentally ill can be challenging at times and even down heartening when a resident relapses or family member doesn’t understand how the residents illness affects them, even more so when they don’t except there is a problem and fight us all the way! i find that really sad for obvious reasons i can not go in to any details as i I’m bound by confidentiality and my works guidelines etc.
Anyway today was a good day as i took a number of residents to watch the new Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer… yes was as much for my enjoyment as for theirs hehe, call it perks of the job! being senior care and activities coordinator has its advantages… going for free and getting out in the nice fresh air just to name some.
The Resident really enjoyed the film, i think cause they were all men and Jessica Alba did look fine (as always)

Old habits die hard for Matt McConaughey. A source on the Malibu set of his new comedy, Surfer Dude, costarring Woody Harrelson, tells Usmagazine.com that Matt is up to his old percussion-playing tricks again.
The source says Matt, who plays a stoner surfer in the movie, spends his free time between takes on Zuma Beach sitting outside his trailer “banging his bongos” and drinking vodka-and-cranberries.
“He will just sit there by himself and play bongos,” says the source. “I get the feeling he and his surfer character aren’t that different.”
The source adds that Matt went up to a bikini-clad extra last week and complimented her on her “positive vibes.”
The actor was arrested in October 1999 and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a neighbor called to complain about music blaring from his Austin, Texas, home.
