Adding to the expansive Supreme Commander universe, the Xbox 360 edition will feature exclusive new units, updated maps and new multiplayer modes, and gamers will be able to take the fight online against players from around the world via Xbox LIVE. In addition, a revised, console-specific control interface and HUD will give gamers unprecedented strategic power over their armies. Supreme commander, the best RTS game to ever hit the PC since Starcraft (or Total Annihilation for some) will be released on the console as well. Chris Taylor, the master behind the engineering and concept of the game said that they are now developing console versions for supreme commander, The first of which is for the Xbox 360. Chris also hints that they will be releasing the games on other console platforms as well.
Supreme Commander humbled lot of mid range PCs because it’s only playable on mid-high to high-end PCs. It may sound ambitious for Gas powered games to unleash this power-hungry game on consoles but it’s something that everyone would like to see. If they manage to pull it off, it could be the renaissance of RTS gaming on the console.
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, is a RTS PC game expansion developed by Gas Powered Games and will be published by THQ on November 6th, 2007. It’s the second title in the Supreme Commander franchise. Because it is a standalone expansion, it will be possible to play without owning Supreme Commander.
Returning factions are the United Earth Federation (UEF), the Cybran Nation (Recyclers), and the Aeon Illuminate. The new faction is called the Seraphim, the alien race that the xenophobic human settlers had wiped out, and that had given rise to the Aeon. With help from QAI, they came back from another galaxy and intent to purge the galaxy. The Seraphim, being technologically superior than even the Aeon, will have stronger units, but fewer of them than the other races. But first unveiled are the new Cybran units…

Supreme Commander, il parait que c’est LE jeu de l’année…. LE jeu STR (jeu de stratégie en temps réel) sur PC. Ah bon ? Je n’étais pas au courant.
J’y ai un peu joué (oui il ma très vite lassé) et je vais ressortir Total Annihilation et Alerte Rouge 2, tellement que je n’ai pas accroché à ce jeu.
La meilleur stratégie à adopté dans le jeu c’est d’avoir le plus d’unité possible, t’envoie tout ça sur l’ennemie et t’as gagné! BRAVO! J’aime bien les jeux bourrin mais la c’est du n’importe quoi, on ne sais pas ce qu’il se passe sur le champ de bataille, on passe notre temps à Zoomer / Dezoomer (j’ai jamais autant utiliser la scrolls de ma souris) pour au final, sur les maps gigantesques, voir des triangles de couleurs bouger, wooouuuaw ça c’est du graphisme!
