Yesterday in Arizona, the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots for Super Bowl XLII. This was probably one of the biggest upsets in Superbowl history, because the Patriots had a record of (18-1) and hadn’t tasted defeat in more than one year. All throughout the game, the Giants gave the Patriots a taste of their unstoppable defense and the remarkable comeback with 35 seconds on the clock. Tom Brady, who was the NFL’s most valuable player and won his first three Super Bowl’s, was sacked over five times, and at one point was on his knees with his hands on his hips. Food should never be fixed for the Superbowl if someome could categorize it as ‘gourmet’. That’s it. Everything else is fair game.
‘Gourmet’ foods don’t mix with the NFL. Fatties and pulled pork and wings and ribs fit pretty well. I can’t imagine a bunch of people sitting around watching the game while eating foie gras with blackberry balsamic glaze, or fish eggs on toast (sorry, caviar on toast points, forgive me!). Well if you are Patriot fan then you've to be disappointed with the outcome ofSuperbowl XLII.The most disappointing aspect of the game is not the loss but the way the Patriots played. True that the Giants played well but the Patriots should have put together a much better game plan and played lot better. You would have never heard me say this - Tom Brady looked average, Bill Billicheck looked like a coach who didn't know what he was doing and that Patriot defense looked old and tired. First of all the Patriots couldn't stop the Giant running game right from the first drive. In addition, they let Eli Manning convert four third downs in that drive, that to me was unacceptable. The Cowboys and their new one billion dollar stadium (expected completion 2009) were awarded the 2011 Super Bowl as they edged the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals. The Cowboy’s main competitive advantage was the ability to expand their to hold over 100,000 patrons, which easily dwarfs the Colts 72,000 capacity.

The day of the Super Bowl has basically become a national holiday in America, with parties, get togethers, and all sorts of events that make the game usually take a back seat to everything that goes with it. With that though, cities across the country fight tooth and nail to land the event each season, and that is why this week three cities are keeping their fingers crossed that they get picked to host the event in 2011.
Those three cities are North Texas, Indianapolis, and the site already of this years event - Glendale, Arizona. The decision will come down tomorrow, and one thing is certain - however gets the big event will be rewarded with the honor of hosting an event that most cities could only dream of. Plus there is just a slight bit of money involved.
Each cities reps will have 15 minutes to tell the NFL’s upper brass why their city should get the big game. They have already had to submit tons and tons of paperwork with info about the cities hotel rooms and venues
