It was a perfect day for a swim, so I went. Now I'm tanned even after all that sunblock. The only problem was that I didn't have water confidence and stamina to swim a full lap. Instead, I swam near the ropes (they roped up the pool to partition off the continuous lap lanes and the other lanes for the kids learning to swim) and stopped every third of the pool and hung on for a bit to rest. I don't know what the weather is in your neck of the woods, but here in Pittsburgh, PA, its sunny and 45 degrees. AHHH, the yellow bright sun, it just wants you to take a moment and soak the ray of warmth into your face and body. I sure miss the sun from this long icy storm snow days that we have been having. I hope you all get a chance to enjoy the sun heat. You should just take a moment, go outside, close your eyes and face the sun. Finally, something to share! I've been back for a few days now, it's still winter, my studio is still messy, but I have finished a piece or two. These pics were taken outside very quickly in full sun so there is a bit of glare. It was just too ccold for me to take a lot of time to set the shot up. They're both done in acrylics on box frames and will be finished off in beeswax. And once again I've been influenced by the work of Canadian artist Jean Paul Lemieux. And we made the most of it, by taking a really long walk around some gorgeous lakes in the area. Here are a couple of the best shots. We took Elliot's tricycle with us, but it seems he is unable to use the pedals OR steer for himself, so N and I (mostly N!) took turns pushing him. I'm really looking forward to sunnier, warmer weather as there are so many outdoorsy places to visit in the area, lots of parks and petting zoos and places to feed the ducks. Subhash Ghai announced a slew of projects with a number of stars, Ghai has now added the Deol brothers to Mukta Arts' family. The Showman has signed Sunny and Bobby for two separate projects, to be launched in August and October, 2008.
