      A Sunday night Meme
Hi everyone.  I stole found this meme from Heather at Want What you Have. 1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Not that I know of. All I know is that my mother named my older brother, so my b-father got to choose my name. 2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Probably a couple months [...]

      Sunday Night "Thinking Out Loud"
Our Sunday PM Service (aka Prayer Service) has been dwindling.  I know that PM Services are a dying breed.  I doubt this will come as new information for anyone.  But, I also know to hear from God, to allow God move in our church, it all begins with PRAYER!  Going without a corporate church prayer time is NOT an option. 2Chronicles 7: 14 if my people, who are called by my

      Sunday Night Reflections
I've been blessed beyond measure this weekend. While there are some things that are difficult to deal with, I just continue looking to God and thanking Him for His many blessings!Tonight we finalized some plans for Tuesday concerning a visit to First Assembly of God in Columbus, IN. God has placed a burden on me for this church, who has lost so much in recent flooding. If you are new to my blog, y

Sometimes I wonder if it's all the dark, moody music that I listen to that makes me such a morose malcontent or if I'm drawn to the music because that's just how I am. Clearly it doesn't matter as it's obviously cyclical anyway and starting with either one would lead to the other in due time anyway, still it makes me wonder what originally came first and contrary to what most of my friends would t

      Sunday Night Round-Up
I missed the 9 PM John Adams so I have to wait for the West Coast feed at 11. So far, its been a very long wait. The worst part? I will probably fall asleep before the 90 minute installment ends. Now you can own your very own Serenity By Jan candles (including a Bottled Water scent) or a MILF Island t-shirt. Better question? Trends In Fox's Sunday Night Schedule
A few weeks ago, I was psyched to watch new episodes of "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," and "American Dad," broadcast between 8 and 10pm Sunday night. I was disappointed to find that at 8:05pm, a sporting event was running over its allotted time, and obscuring the promised programming. So I waited. And waited. Finally, at 9:30pm, the new episode of "The Simpsons" aired. It was followed directly by Fox News at 10. So the hour and a half of other shows were obliterated. Gee whiz...So is there a precedent there, a rule that can be counted on for next time? Will Fox News always air at 10 no matter what, even if it must cut off the originally promised programming? Maybe...Last night, Nascar ran over again. But this time, it wrapped itself up at 8:30pm, at which point "The Simpsons" aired.

These included a set of maracas, a tambourine, and a triangle. She loves musical instruments, and went nuts with these new noise makers. The Bad: Did I mention they make noise? Lots of noise? But she loves them, and I want to encourage a love of music, right? The Ugly: "Take the instruments to bed, mommy? Carry them to my bed?" I can't say no - I mean, she was so good at the family gathering, so I can't refuse this little request. Then, at 4am: DING! DING! RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE! Sunday Night: BROTHERS & SISTERS and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
Sunday Nights never fail to impress me. ABC is really King (or Queen) of the night. This post will contain spoilers so read accordingly. BROTHERS & SISTERS - I want to start talking about ABC’s Brothers & Sisters “36 Hours” just because it was the best episode this season that I have seen so far. Apart from the amazing acting from the whole cast, the stories just feel so true, the care the family has for each other is heartbreaking. Before I go on to praise the episode, I would like to say that I still think it was very convenient to get Justin back into drugs but it makes for such a great episode that I’ll let it go, but they better not do another drug storyline in season 3, because that’s not gonna fly then. Moving on to Justin’s intervention. I’ll admit that I shed a few tears during the episode (but if you ever mention this, I’ll deny it to the grave!) and it shouldn’t surprise anyone given the subject matter. The episode w

But here's proof that we've arrived.Asher has always been fascinated by cooking. He'll often walk into the kitchen and demand that I pick him up so he can inspect anything that may be on the stove. I'll need to prove to him that there's nothing in the oven before he'll be content to go back in the other room and play. If there is something cooking, he wants to be right up where the action is. But today is the first day he actually got to help. Before I came in the room, Matthew told me that he was looking around for me proudly so that I could cheer for him.And just because its so amazing to see the contrast...here's one from around a year ago...

Cincinnati Concert Reminder - 1990’s Sunday Night
Here is a show that has gotten little to no pub around town that I can find that should be loads of fun. The debut album from the 1990’s is one of my favorite debuts from 2007, and the Scottish boys making such an early trip to our area is a rare and exciting treat. I fear that this will be grossly under attended so do your best to try and come out Sunday night at the Southgate House to support a great new band and give them a reason to consider playing in our fair city again down the road. The band just played last night at CMJ with British Sea Power and Pela. The great spider ordeal of Sunday night
aqua bear cd mem I hate insects, I hate them, their small, their dirty, they crawl and their crunchy. *shudders* I wont kill any insect though, Its cruel and unnecessary. I just don’t like to touch them, but Sunday night I had no choice! I was watching CSI in bed at 2:30am and all of a sudden a spider crawled out of my pillow and ran along my bed right next to me, I swear to god I’ve never screamed that much when I’ve seen a spider before! After about five minutes of “omgomgomgomgwhatdoidowhatdoido” I managed to trap the little bugger under my bin. It was about 2″ so not *that* little. The ONE night I don’t check under my pillows there’s one there. (yes I’m that paranoid) So he’s running around under the bin, which is now weighted down with 100 books in case he’s a body building spider and can lift the bin. I can’t find my bug spray, I usually sleep with it by the bed but we had another incident the day before tha

      Sunday night recap!
Last time, on Big Brother 8…. After the recap, we rejoin our houseguests right after the eviction of Jen, with Dick telling us how excited he is that Jen’s gone, and reminds us that he’s hated her since day one and now they can move. Daniele regrets hugging Jen, and says she’s one of a kind and hopes not to encounter her again. Jess tells us that Jen’s last words made her nervous, figured it was something about someone in the house. Eric says he said whatever one was thinking, he just blurted it out. Dick reminds us it was the easiest vote out. Even Amber is happy and didn’t cry at all, and she’s happy to have them. And Jen’s picture goes black and white. Dick “She said it would look better black and white as soon as she saw it and she was right!” We flashback to the HOH competition, and Jessica’s win Eric tells us that he’s overjoyed and happy that they’ll both be sitting in the final six. Sunday Night Thoughts 8/26/2007
I do not like this market right now. I think we will have a higher market this week - drifting up slowly. This decline happened too orderly -too easy. The Fed came in and everything was all better. Too simple and not enough pain. I am looking for the decline to possibility start again once all the players come back in September.-The forex markets have gained about 50% of what they lost for the majors. I am just not following these will enough too trade. I hope that I have more time to trade - I will.-Tomorrow should be interesting day or I mean later this week. I have another Cat Scan done to see if I have something growing in my lungs. I hope to know the results by Wednesday. I do not think there is anything wrong but who knows - maybe a Black Swan.-On another note, I am posting a few posts on The Trading Goddess website. You can find me there too. I will keep my results, trade reviews and thoughts here.

Out of Gas: Sunday Night Game Recap/Open Thread
This team is seriously in need of some kind of offensive infusion. With two on and no outs, down by one in the bottom of the ninth, the Cubs couldn't get the job done. What's worse, there's no fire, no hutsle, just a lot of flat play. And this is yet another reason why I think Pie should be out there playing CF every day. He brought a spark and a certain joie de vivre to this team that we haven't had since he started riding the pines. Luckily for us, it looks like Fonzie will be back a week earlier than expected. He told Lou to pencil him into the lineup for Tuesday. While we all HOPE that Fonzie will inject a little ooomph into this team, let's just pray that he doesn't try to take too much on himself and wind up out for even longer. OGDJM wasn't terrible today, but he did his patented give-up-just-enough-run-early-on-to-put-the-game-out-of-reach-of-our-offense. One he had accomplished that, he settled down and was decent for the rest of the game. In the end, his line looked l

MSNBC Moves Countdown with Keith Olbermann to NBC, Right before Sunday Night Football
Keith Olbermann is a B-level pundit on cable news, which is not saying much. Childishly, he attempted to increase his audience size by daily naming Bill O’Reilly as, “Worse Person in the World.” Still, he gets abysmal ratings. With all that being said, he is clearly a liberal partisan, who openly supports the Democratic Party. Nevertheless, NBC found it appropriate to put Keith Olbermann on NBC in lieu of real News before Sunday Night Football. Could anyone imagine the liberal outrage if “The O’Reilly Factor” was on FOX’s Network directly before a football game? Of course you could not imagine it; it would never happen.Political pundits should not be on television during dinner time on a Sunday before the football game. We should be receiving a recap of the week’s news from real journalists. But, I will make a deal with NBC: If that is the way it is going to be, fine; then Rush Limbaugh should get his own hour-long show before 60-minuites. He would double Katie

Take Heart, Kids/Sunday Night Open Thread
So yeah, there's been a rash of boring games lately. And yes, our offense lately is almost enough to make one consider giving E6 and his .366 average another shot. And YES, it gets tiresome watching OGDJM and Hill and Marshall throw BP to a bunch of AAAA teams. But just think about how much worse it could be! A year ago at this time, we had Ronny in the starting lineup, Captain Toothpick in the dugout, and Neifi hitting leadoff. By this time last season, we were so far out of first place that we had to look up to see the back end of the Pirates. Let's take a moment to remember how good we have it right now. Tomorrow's an off-day, and perhaps we all need one. Come Tuesday, DLee will presumably be back in the lineup, the light-hitting Dead Birds will be in town, Dempster will most likely be back, and the ever-present promise of a healthy Kerry Wood will be once again on the horizon (oh please, oh please, oh please). Maybe Lou will even spend the day checking under the couch cushion

Game Recap/Sunday Night Open Thread: Bizzaro World
For those of you who are either Seinfeld or comic-book challenged, the definition of bizzaro world is as follows: In the Bizarro world of "Htrae" ("Earth" spelled backwards), society is ruled by the Bizarro Code which states "Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!". In one episode, for example, a salesman is doing a brisk trade selling Bizarro bonds: "Guaranteed to lose money for you". Later, the mayor appoints Bizarro #1 to investigate a crime, "Because you are stupider than the entire Bizarro police force put together". This is intended and taken as a great compliment. Sunday Night Open Thread: Wherein We Save Pie and Murton
And banish the evil E6 to Iowa forever! Now then. The day of reckoning is fast approaching. Though the off-day today may have postponed it, the time nears when Guzman will be called up to pitchin the 5th spot and Lou and Jim will have to make a choice that may affect the future of all mankind: Who stays and who goes? While this might seem like a no-brainer to those of us in the legion of blogheroes, history has shown that these decisions often prove to be tougher than they should be for the boys in the front office. With that in mind, let's take a look at the three players most likely to be up for demotion, and the pros and cons of each one. Up first, he was the best hitter on the team last year, he had great patience until Dusty beat it out of him, even though I don't understand it, he has legions of deveoted female fans (not to mention 10% of the male base). . . you know him as "Orange Guy,". . . .Maaaaaaaaaaaaaat Murton! 2007 Season:.275/.341/.666 2006 Season: .297/.365/.809 Pr

      It's a Sunday Night Party!
Are you ready for some football? The Remeta household sure is. We have our outfits picked out, our cheese dip ready to be made, our beer stocked up, and the tv screen dusted off and looking shiny as a new penny (which, when you think about it, makes no sense - a penny, no matter how new, still looks copper to me). I had a few additional tips for keeping your toddler happy through this busy and fun day, to go along with the previous ideas from a few days ago. - Make sure an early or mid-day nap doesn’t get interrupted. I know it’s tempting, especially if you have guests over, but make naptime for your little one a priority today. It’s going to be a long, very busy day, and you want to avoid a mid-evening meltdown if at all possible. - Keep the food coming.
